Great stuff. Ray is a legend. Seen him doing stuff even today. Grew up on his stuff in the 70s and 80s. His stuff is all funny or good or funny and good :) Thanks Ray.!!
ОтветитьWell I remember Ray when he started out in the late 50's and had most of his greatest records
during the 60's & 70's. One of the greatest artists still recording. That's for SEVEN decades now.
I'm a big fan of Ray's. As others have mentioned he's still recording and performing. He opened up a brand new venue a couple of months ago called The CabaRay. It's on River Road in West Nashville, TN. Those familiar with that area it's in a suburb of Nashville, a community called Bellevue. I attended a concert there back on March 1st. It's a fabulous venue/showroom. He also hosts a locally syndicated television show on PBS stations called 'Ray Stevens CabaRay Nashville'.
ОтветитьI dont know anything about this guy, I dont even like country, but I've heard and listened to a lot of music in my life, and this is one of the best performances I've heard anywhere, hes simply amazing in this

ОтветитьHe is a good performer but this song for me will always be associated with the legendary Johnny Mathis

This song takes me back to a time that I'd almost forgotten. A simpler, happy time and I want to stay there for a little while longer!
ОтветитьY'all can't deny he was hot.

ОтветитьFrigging hell! He looks like James Woods!
ОтветитьPhenomenal !!!

ОтветитьGreat version and also great to see Marty Again- that old gunslinger from El Paso.
ОтветитьThe arrangement was fantastic. He owned it!
ОтветитьThe longer version of this song has a great jam
ОтветитьHe makes the phenomenally hard look easy
ОтветитьThank You Ray for this. It brings me back to 1975 when I was a youth. Oh how I loved this one, and still love it today even better than ever. God bless you x x x
ОтветитьRay's is always the best rendition of this beautiful song. Simply the best!
ОтветитьLove Yaa Mr Ray Stevens, Your the Man, Pure Talent, I been with U all My Life, going a
long way back in years,, You, Joe Brown, Ray Milsap, Kenny Rogers, love You guys, all
gone to Heaven, & now Charlie Watts, RIP all You Guys.
wo ist denn der Text, Tante @Country ?
ОтветитьThe guys transition to falsetto is floorless !
ОтветитьJohn Lennon once said if a song is good you can slow it down or speed it up it will always be good. This song proves Lennon's case in that Ray Stevens took a romantic Johnny Mathis hit and turned into a up tempo country hit, a masterpiece.
ОтветитьLove that song
ОтветитьGood Song🎵
ОтветитьHugely talented...😅
ОтветитьEspetacular
ОтветитьLovely song summer 75 wonderful memories
ОтветитьI didn't know that that's what Ray Stevens looked like.
ОтветитьRay could bring it live with the vocals.
ОтветитьClass act !

ОтветитьNobody can do "Misty" like Ray Stevens, and I've heard it by the greats like Sarah Vaughn and Johnny Mathis.
