Why can't you filter salt water?  What happens if you do? Great video by the way.

Say I want to cook with the purified water, how do I get the water into say another cup or pan? Is that straw removable (EDIT: the straw in the bottle; so that I can turn it upside down) and can it be gravity fed?

I want one for travel.

Would you recommend the "Renovo Trio - 3 Stage Water Filter & Purifier Straw"  or the Ariix Puritii Water Filter?  Anyone please comment and thank you.

I totally agree....very well thought out videos w/thought behind them. Not to mention being the test dummy (no negative thoughts meant). You put yourself (health) in the mix. Ignore the negative reviews....there are those of us that LOVE your reviews. Another video that's a lie - you cannot filter salt water/urine without using reverse osmosis technology . A simple water filter because I don't believe it's a virus filter so it's not a water purifier cannot filter salt or urine - it's a fact. There are portable salt water filter systems but they are 1,500+ USD.
I hope you didn't get this water bottle for free to endorsing it.
Also have you actually check with the relevant standards authorities if this product has been checked and meets or exceeds their standards rather than reading it off the side of the box?
If you are endorsing this product which I believe you are - you're responsible for checking these things out. Simply placing the bottle into suspect water and drinking through the filter is not checking out the product.
You also need to warn potential users that these water filters do not work in heavily contaminated water such as mining ponds, industrial output pools or stream outlets, chemical plant pools or stream outlets.
You have made yourself liable to substantial fines if anyone is harmed by following your basic instructions and is not aware of the limitations of these basic water filters. If you read the instructions of quality water purifier they list and warn where their product cannot be used. Finally you did not mention that this water filter does not kill the bacteria or cysts because this filter used simply blocks the bacteria and cysts and over a short period of time the bacteria multiply and the filter efficiency gets less and less eventually blocking the filter - a potential health hazard.

Great video, lots of info. Would love one for my kit but at nearly $80 Australian dollars plus the filter and then delivered it's going to have to wait. Pitty, keep up the excellent reviews.

I bought this product recently but subsequently I've seen some complaints that the filter can clog before the full utilization of X number of gallons of water can be filtered. I've also heard that this product is from a Ariix company which is a multi-level-marketing kind of production company with shady employment practices.

Can you attest to these claims Preparedmind101? I'd like some reassurance that this product is a safe purchase and that it will work in a disaster type safety kit for my family. If not can you do a compilation review of multiple water filters and choose a top 3 under $100 each?
