Indicators for assessing the sustainable urban development in Covid-19 times: a SDG11 Framework implementation methodology. First explorations and implementations

This short video illustrates my research activity to be pursued within the Ph.D. process, with reference to the methodological framework adopted and the first explorations carried out.
My research focuses on the implications of the pandemic within the national urban context considering the assessment framework of the Sustainable Development Goal 11 of the 2030 Agenda, returning a comprehensive framework that explores different existing approaches of constructing urban sustainability indicators from multiple scales, considering the fundamental role of spatial analysis. The aim is therefore to understand both how these indicators are defined and constructed and through which methodologies they can be further developed.
In this perspective, outcomes such as the provision of an effective framework for the contingent needs of the pandemic that is useful for urban policy-making; as well as the implementation of SDG11 indicators, and the dissemination of information also to the public sector through information tools, are expected.
