I found that L'oreal Colour Riche lipstick to be too drying.

My favorite drugstore product? I've never found a better mascara for the price than Maybelline's Full-n-Soft waterproof mascara. No clumps, no specks, no globs. It gives a smooth, full, natural look that looks wonderful. The only waterproof mascara that comes close is the slightly more dramatic Dior's Diorshow, but their price is prohibitively high. For the price, I'll stick with Maybelline.

If I don't need my mascara to be super waterproof, my choice is Pixie by Petra. Gorgeous, full and smooth lashes.

This is only the third video I've seen of your videos but I subscribed on the first one. I want to thank you for how much I've learned about makeup and I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us. I am so happy I use the same drugstore makeup that you like. Elf, Maybelline, Loreal, Milani and Revlon and Essence too. Palettes are my weakness and Colourpop is one of my favorite brands. I have most of the large palettes and the small ones too. Great video, I'm on ny journey to go pro and videos like this are super helpful in knowing great products to try and to potentially add to my kit on a budget ❤ I'd really love to see your review of some of the newer Estee Lauder foundations and their other products. Generally I've loved their foundations over the years starting with double wear light but I didn't like their reformulation. I now use hydra rescue and it's beautiful on everyone I've used it on... wonder what you'd think! Looking forward to your next one! 🎉❤

No reason to pay for the brand or packaging. I think we sometimes fool ourself that the more expensive makeup is better, because we have paid more for it and it feels more luxurious

Color pop eyeshadows dont apply well for me or stay long, what kind of base do you use for it?

Milani has these 3 wood sharpenable lip pencils, the shades are Natural, Spice & Nude. They’re like $8. Here we are over a decade later, I still love & wear 2 shades regularly. Spice is my favorite ❤

ELF has a cream bronzer palette❤. It used to be $5 for 4 very large pans. Now over a decade later it’s $8 or $10. They have a light & dark version & it’s fantastic bcz each pan is huge, a different shade & undertone, making the palette easily customizable! The formula is super creamy & pigmented, blends like a dream, sets nicely & no patchy finish. I used to use their cream blush palette just like this bronzer one in conjunction. I think I need a new one ❤

Milani very easily could’ve been a high end brand. That’s one drugstore brand that knows how to make cosmetics so well! I just wish they would step up their launches etc. I’ve loved them for so long!!

Thanks for sharing this well won wisdom with us Marlena! *Just wanted to mention - I think maybe your lighting is a bit too bright?...it's as if the brightness bounces back the light from your face to the camera washing out the clarity & creating a shadowy look - perhaps if the brightness was turned down a notch or two things would appear more focused & colors would have more clarity? I hope that makes sense?? Anyway, I always appreciate & more importantly trust your recommendations - so thanks!!

I don't like the foundations in a pump. I prefer the traditional bottle cap packaging. The pump causes air to come in and dry out the foundation. I use masking tape to cover the hole in the spout to retard the oxygen drying out the formula.

Beautiful makeup

I was raving to my friend about the ColourPop concealer. I’ve been using it for 5 years now. Absolutely love it! They also have a matte collection that’s truly lovely. It makes your skin look doll like when you use the primer and the setting spray. The only thing I’ll say is they did rebrand it so I’m not sure if that came with a reformulation. The primer feels the same, but sometimes I have to fight with the setting spray which sucks because it’s a great formula.

I doubt you will see this but if you do can you tell us what is on your eyes???

Everyone loves that Loreal Voluminous mascara, but it irritates my eyes and then they water and then it doesn't matter what mascara I started with 'cause it's gone! I just started using the Loreal Panorama one (after much himming and hawing because of my experience with the other Loreal mascara.... previously I was loyal to Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High) and I am really impressed with it! No watering or irritation first of all, makes my lash line look thick, the wand is straight and skinny at the tip and thick at the base (very "pine tree" shaped) so it's great to get all the teeny little lashes as well as the big ones, but it's not so thick that you end up with spider eyes. I might have found my new fave mascara, seriously. I'm very impressed, and I've been using the Lash Sensational for ..... several years at least. Since it came out pretty much.

Other drugstore faves are all the Milani baked blushes (obviously.... they're like highlighter and blush in one, perfect on busy mornings), Elf Wow Brow is better than any of the high end brow gels, one of the Elf lip pencils that is $2 is a near perfect color match for Makeup Forever's Wherever Walnut which is perfect for touch ups and my travel kit (the Elf color is either Pinky Swear or Truth or Dare, I have both and I have no idea which one I keep grabbing, probably Pinky Swear). Those are my fave drugstore finds!

Milani lipsticks are good too! Give them a go!

I have tried it all. The Maybelline fitme is the BEST foundation. There's nothing better❤❤ I've been using it for 12 years. It's CONSISTENT ❤
