It's purple
ОтветитьAhh you're back i kinda missed you! Keep on keeping on
ОтветитьI really like my Delica PD#1. Haven't sharpened it yet though. Thanks so much for the vid
Ответить🔪👏👊👍
ОтветитьThank you for your service.
ОтветитьI got a stretch 2 XL in this configuration. Amazing cutter
ОтветитьI'm pleased with mine as well. I haven't tested it or kept track of what I cut, but it's held it's edge quite well so far. It acts pretty much as I expected considering it's a cruwear analog.
ОтветитьI was gonna say it’s been too long. Been waiting for you to post ! Glad your back
Ответить221ft fine edge! Whoee! Why i love Cruwear!
I have PD1 Endura as well as Stretch XL. Only sharpened the Endura thus far and my experience mimics yours: comes up sharp, deburs easily and has great edge stability. Btw, my olive/blk Endela is well treated Cruwear and acts as one would expect.
Great to see you again G!
Nice to see you, welcome back
ОтветитьI have the stretch 2 xl in this steel. Been a great working steel for me. Wish I would have gotten the endura though.
ОтветитьWay to go Carpenter!!!
ОтветитьGlad to hear your experience with this. Now wish I had gotten one. I'm just not taken with the lightweight versions by Spyderco, my Endura in K390 weighs under 3 onces. So I dont believe the liners are that weighty.
Thanks !
Glad you got around to posting this! I have an endela and delica in pd#1, ive been really happy with it. The edge on these seems to come up a bit stickier than my para 3 lw cruwear. Not a big fan of coated blades. My endela came from the factory with about a 12 dps and it's been holding up great, probably at 4 sharpenings and keeping it at 12 dps. I might have the endela reground at some point.
ОтветитьI've heard them refer to the colour as "burgundy" lol Also been loving my sample of PD#1. I had to clean out some black gunk leaking from the pivot but was curious if there was any CQI so I disassembled it but it seems to be the same as any of my other lock-backs from Spyderco. I think it's a great, tough edge holder that strops right back to shaving sharp - similar to Spy27 funny enough. I didn't notice a "sticky burr" as I do on some steels while sharpening either. I really value that & its seen in Cru-wear as well. As a user, I can't really tell the difference between the two but as a steel nerd, I'm elated to be able to try it out in my daily life.
ОтветитьGreetings from a Tiny Island in Maine, USA - Glad to see you getting busy again!
Thanks & keep ‘em coming as your schedule allows.
Your cut tests are always #1
ОтветитьEndela>Endura lol. I almost bought one of these but convinced myself the Cruwear model I have was close enough! Didn't have issues with my Cruwear Endela. What kinda issues were people reporting?
Ответитьhave a police 4 and stretch 2 xl lw ,this steel is excellent...was unsure normally reluctant to get anything with a coating but this surprised me may need to get the Endura next, thanks for all your testing
ОтветитьLove to see you back at it
ОтветитьAnd STILL available. National Knives.
ОтветитьI’ve seen hrc numbers from the PM2’s from that DLT run around 62.5 htc. Glad I have some of these pd#1 sprints
ОтветитьWe’ve missed you G!!!!!!
ОтветитьI have the Endura. Whittled quite a bit in dry wood with mine (mainly birch). I’m very happy with it. Good edge stability. No rolling or chipping so far. Easy to maintain the sharpness. Responds well to StroppyStuff diamond emulsion on leather (9, 1 and 0.25 micron).
ОтветитьI love my PD1 Endela. No complaints, its solid.
ОтветитьI opted for the magnacut native chief over the Ivan ooze pd1 run. Glad 2 see the pd1 is a solid performer..
ОтветитьLike mine a bunch
ОтветитьThe police 4 pd1 has done some wonderful work so far, bud. A little better than expected after using the cruwear manix xl st the warehouse for some time, it seems to take a finer edge better, though both clean up and hone beautifully; the police pd1 is a daily user and really surprised me. Make sure you’re well bud, and we’ll be dying for more content in the mean time 🤘
ОтветитьI been carrying one of these its holding up great haven't even stropped ot yet thinking bout getting an endela in pd1
ОтветитьPolice 4 in pd1 is incredible really holds an edge and can take some impact without chipping or rolling.
ОтветитьI grabbed an endela to try the steel and the knife at the same time. I love the purple and black, the Endela ended up being a good size too. The steel quickly became one of my favorites along with the knife, I've carried it since I got it a year ago and only needed to sharpen it a few times. This is all with with mild edc use, cardboard, plastic straps at the shop, some wood shaving, string trimmer line, various bags, I broke down a couple busted office chairs for the foam. Cut the fabric off and sliced the foam from the glue holding it down. Did a little carpet work and things like that. I was actually just thinking about PD1 and K390 which is another that really impressed me, I've used a lot, and I think I like PD1 better. I decided to put the Endela up for a few weeks and go back to my stretch 2 and see if I do indeed like the pd1 more or not. My next purchases, whenever in the future it will be, is going to be cruwear spyderco most likely. Ive read that it's practically the same thing.
