Great video! Thank you for sharing the journey with us!
ОтветитьJust beautiful. And just what I needed to get my lazy butt out on a run. Thanks.
ОтветитьBrilliant. Spent time training on Dartmoor with the Royal Marines..bleak but beautiful and unforgiving at times..enjoyed this 👌 👍
ОтветитьWork in Princetown and run in the moor at least once a week. North to South from Belstone to Ivybridge is such a great run. Lovely video.
ОтветитьNice one Jonathan. Was in middle of hatching a plan to do this. This has definitely inspired me to do it when the time comes. Cheers!
ОтветитьAmazing👌
ОтветитьFantastic work. Really enjoyable film
ОтветитьYou’re on a mission man. I’m with you 🙌🏻
ОтветитьI live in Staffordshire and ran 26km across the Staffordshire Moorlands today, what’s great about the Moorland is I can feel totally alone as though I’m on an uninhabited planet yet only be a few miles away from home. Many of my friends and family have never seen our town from deep in the wilderness of the Moors. It gives a totally different perspective only few are lucky enough to experience.
ОтветитьI ran the Hameldown Hammer a few years back, easily the most picturesque run I've ever finished (despite the torrential rain and wind on some of the higher peaks!). Great film, thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьGreat video, lovely channel, well done! Havent looked through old videos, but do you have any kit reviews? Interested in getting a backpack/hydration vest for longer runs, not really sure where to start...
ОтветитьGreat quality and engaging ultra video! I’ve been running ultra for years and believe you cracked the code on these the same way as Billy Yang. Keep at it brother!
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful film! It really captured the wild beauty of Dartmoor. You are so fortunate to be able to explore it on foot. Thanks so much for transporting me into the wild during this pandemic period. Happy trails to you.
ОтветитьAnyone else recognise a lot of the terrain from Ten Tors
ОтветитьAwesome!
ОтветитьThe love you have for this place is so pure and visible. Thanks for sharing it, I added Dartmoor to my "never ending" list of places on the planet I want to run. Cheers!
ОтветитьInteresting! I'm planning to do the crossing this summer! Based in Plymouth so I'm out on Dartmoor regularly.
ОтветитьThis is superb, arelaxing and inspirational watch thanks
ОтветитьAwesome! I did this with some friends in the summer. We hiked North to South - took the whole day. Also completed the 55 mile Ten Tors in 2019, so I've spent many hours exploring it. Love it more every time I go up there!
ОтветитьOmg I think I saw you when you where doing this
ОтветитьGood film that mate
ОтветитьAmazing film! Keen runner and having grown up walking on Dartmoor and south Devon I loved that! Are you on Strava? or have a GPX of the route, would love to check the route out!
ОтветитьGreat watch and really inspirational. Sometimes we can get drawn to places far away when incredible places surround us everyday.
ОтветитьWe recently moved from Princetown to France. Not yet found a place to run that comes close to Dartmoor, but France is a big place and I hear they have a few mountains.
ОтветитьHi Johnathan, I’ve watched this a few times now and shared a fair bit... it’s easily the best film in relation to the crossing and I like your style and presentation. Planning on doing the crossing to raise money for the homeless charity I work for in May and would like to follow your route if you have a gpx? Keep up the good work sir 👍🏻
ОтветитьI wish everyone did maps! Thank you thank you thank you! Everyone in the UK will know where Dartmoor and it's bogs are located but not the rest of us.
ОтветитьI used to live in North Devon, but have moved back to my homelands north of the Bborder. I never had the time to really get out and explore the countryside properly and at that stage hadn't found my love of running either. Have to say this video is fantastic and makes me want to return and have a shot of that route as well! Did walk the coastal path a few times, im considering Hadrians Wall, that looks like a lot of fun, but I'm really lucky as my lockdown has been up in the Highlands of Scotland so there has been plenty of hills to keep me occupied up here! PROPER JOB! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьWow a terrific film buddy thank you 🙏
ОтветитьFascinating stuff about the peat pass. Never heard of them before. We have a similar route across peat bogs on the North Yorks Moors and I think I've come across these peat passes over there but had no idea that's what they might be until then.
ОтветитьWhere's teh gpx? :D
ОтветитьWhat a great journey my bro!
Thanks for sharing this with us!
I love the way you describe the special link you have with this landscape, as it reminded me the bound I feel with Pyrénées mountains, where I grew up and currently live. These places genually refill our souls and bodies, awake our senses for wonder and take our fears and angers without questions.
I didn't know the Dartmoor, and it looks stunning ! Hope I'll run someday over there.
Thank you for this great film, cheers !
Great production and representation of Dartmoor. Certainly not a place to be taken lightly as you have shown. I ran 25 miles across Dartmoor to propose to my girlfriend, unknowingly waiting in Princetown. Despite growing up here, the weather turned so fast to thick fog and rain and genuinely feared for my life. Luckily I knew the area but wasn’t far off calling out the services!
ОтветитьGreat work!
ОтветитьBrilliant film
ОтветитьMy way of running. It doesn't matter whether it's a 10K run or a long day out and run a 100K.
ОтветитьWhat a brilliant documentary. I live on plymouth and walk Dartmoor a lot. Maybe time for a long run up there
ОтветитьGreat film Jon! What did you film this on? The colour grading is beautiful.
ОтветитьBeautiful shots. I'm from dartmoor and there is no finer geography
ОтветитьAmazing landscapes you’ve captured. I’ve spent a lot of time down on Dartmoor, it’s a spectacular part of the world. I ran the annual Dartmoor Volcano race this year, what an experience. Thanks for posting such a great film. Cheers The Rosary Runner 📿
ОтветитьFantastic. Your commentary was inspirational. Was this put on Strava? I wouldn't mind looking at the route.
ОтветитьGreat video - thanx for sharing the experience with us!
ОтветитьJonathan are you on Strava? I’d like to follow you for inspiration
ОтветитьHaving spent A LOT of time on Dartmoor whilst in the Royal Marines, I have a much different opinion of Dartmoor then most but you actually made this place look nice! 🤣
ОтветитьJust wonderful! Thank you for taking the time to put this together. My friend and I ran from Ivybridge to Belstone but took it over 2 days which was great but I’d love to crack it in one……one day!
ОтветитьEpic video dude, thanks for this :)
ОтветитьGreat vid. That settles it- entering the dartmoor crossing race 33.5mile 👌
ОтветитьThank you, this was a brilliant and inspiring video!
ОтветитьGreat video thank you
