ОтветитьHey what’s up
ОтветитьNice video
ОтветитьAny Linux distro has google chrome Available that you know ?
ОтветитьGreat Video!
I usually install LXDE on my computers. And then I customize it and tweak it. I absolutely love the lightweight desktop environment but I hate the retro look.
Now, I can say the same exact thing about XFCE. I love the fact that it's a lightweight desktop environment. But as far as the look of it...Nah. So, I would definitely recommend installing Twister UI ontop of XFCE, but only if you have Linux Mint or Xubuntu. Twister UI has a theme tool in the settings submenu that lets you customize the entire desktop environment with just a click of the mouse. My favorite is The iTwister theme. I also like the Twister OS theme too.
Lastly, the developers didn't have to do this but I guess it's for newbies. They installed Google Chrome Browser with Google Docs Offline as an add-on. Very Unnecessary. Privacy may be an issue because Google Chrome Browser sends data to Google without notice and without giving you complete control. Firefox is more friendly in terms of user data use than Chrome.
Very informative video! Love how short and yet packed with useful information it is!
Thank you for the insight!
should I jump from lubuntu 16.04lts to debian9 on older core m 5y10c 4gb ram,slow & barebones
ОтветитьTry Enlightenment desktop as well.
ОтветитьThe name "MATE", pronounced Ma-Tay, comes from yerba maté, a species of holly native to subtropical South America. Its leaves contain caffeine and are used to make infusions and a beverage called mate.
ОтветитьOther ideas I played with once was changing themes, what the desktop shows by default and turning off compositing if on by default.
ОтветитьThanks for the comparison i think i will go with lxqt
ОтветитьDidn't know Butt-head made linux videos. :D Make more vids, dude!
ОтветитьHOW is kde using 600mb of ram its impossible
ОтветитьGreat comparison - would be interested to know the feature comparison for each desktop environment and why one might sacrifice longer loading times or more RAM/CPU - what does gnome offer that lxde doesn't?
ОтветитьI wonder how using the same performance monitor ( like top in the terminal) would change things instead of using the DE's native performance monitor
Ответитьyou missed openbox
ОтветитьBuy a fast computer and use ANY DE you feel like.
