There is a saying, you can tell how much you love your wife by the size of the car you get her...
ОтветитьOnce you drive a full-size pickup truck. You won’t want to go back!
ОтветитьDoesn't the UK and Europe have a tax on a per cylinder basis too? Possibly another reason why the cars are smaller there. In the US, there is no tax on the per cylinder of the car
ОтветитьBecause we can...Same reason we own firearms
ОтветитьAlso we need bigger cars for all that road tripping lol!!! It's not just about status. These cars ARE gorgeous.
ОтветитьI have a FORD 2019 Taurus. Last model year. I love it and its my 3rd Taurus. I am soooo upset FORD stopped making sedans
ОтветитьI am alive because I was driving a one ton pickup when I was rear ended by a semi which had bad or no brakes. The frame of the pickup was bent, but I lived though swelling in he spinal column and four fractured vertebra caused partial paralysis which mostly went away after 2 1/2 years.
ОтветитьDo you guys go tubing in the UK? Genuinely curious
ОтветитьWhat do you drive L3WG🤔just curious
ОтветитьI'm not obsessed. I have always driven a small or medium size car
ОтветитьI love my Toyota Tundra!!
With it's big V8 it'll pass anything but a gas station!!
With all the towing I and other Americans do a large heavy truck is a necessity.
Between my boat and camper a mid size truck just wont cut it.
While i'm sure some Americans take vehicle size into consideration when buying a car for safety reasons I dont believe it's a huge reason they do so.
With a bigger car comes high fuel consumption which Americans are becoming more aware of with gas prices being what they are these days.
For me it's about towing so with towing capability comes bigger engines heavier vehicles and higher gas consumption.
I’ve seen a smart car wedged under the tires of an 18 wheeler. Small car? Yea that’s a no for me.
ОтветитьYeah my husband and I are in the market for a new car. Our last car was a 2-door coupe and we’re going to get an SUV.
ОтветитьThe rule on light trucks is that if it seats fewer than 4 people, it is a truck.. if it seats 4 or more, it is considered a passenger vehicle. This iss why so many light trucks came with barely usable 'jump seats' during the 80's and 90s .
Ответитьthe electric full electric car is no good in Minnesota battery's freeze in winter..wont start
ОтветитьI prefer smaller cars. I like maneuverability. My current car (2022 WRX) would be considered large in Europe, but it's small here
ОтветитьWhat platform is best to follow Lewis? I paid for Patreon but he was never active on there. Just saw messages from everyone except Lewis.
ОтветитьWhy not!!!
ОтветитьI have heard electric vehicles are heavier because of the batteries.
ОтветитьI despise large vehicles. Most people that drive them don't drive them safely and always drive them faster than the speed limit.
ОтветитьI drive a truck because I prefer to be higher up, I feel safer. It has 4x4 so I can go off road and handle snow . I also haul loads of firewood, feed, building supplies and a boat when we go fishing.
ОтветитьI know man there's one video with this British guy somewhere over there modified a Vauxhall Victor just look for fastest street legal car in the UK
ОтветитьFord introduced the Maverick truck a few years ago and it has been very popular. It's about the size of the Ranger before it was discontinued.
I think we've kinda hit the peak for massive full size trucks and people are buying up the smaller trucks like the Maverick like crazy. It also helps that these smaller trucks are more reasonably priced, starting about $20~$25k and the base model, single cab, 6.5 foot bed RWD F150 is gonna run you $40k, with no extra options. Make it a base model 4 door, 6.5 foot bed with 4WD and you're looking at $54k. Do dealers usually carry the base models with options? Not usually. They tend to have the higher end, Platinum and Lariat models that will run you anywhere from $70k to $100k.
Lewis..... Yeah, more European car makers here in the US have been introducing their own SUV models. Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari.... And even on another scale, makers like Mercedes-Benz have been introducing more affordable model lines and SUV lines as well.
ОтветитьTake a look at a 1960’s Chrysler New Yorker
ОтветитьSafety is exactly why people are buying bigger vehicles. 😊
ОтветитьI have a full size SUV (Ford Expedition) because I have 4 kids, and they are needy AF 😂 and I like to be self sufficient.
ОтветитьYou want a car you can comfortably drive across country in. 14 -20 hours
ОтветитьI loved my old Ford Ranger because of the smaller size. The new version looks the same size as full sized trucks.
ОтветитьYes getting a bigger vehicle due to what’s around you is true. I had a sedan which was great in my small down but I had to start traveling to work to major cities and I felt like between the tractor trailers, SUV’s and large trucks I was going to be run over. I sold my car and got a Jeep and feel much safer
ОтветитьThat why my 100lb daughter drives a Ram Big Horn about 3500lb
ОтветитьIf you think these are big, you should see some of the old big vans that we used to have in the 90s! My family had an 11 seater van and it was huge! It was more like a bus!
ОтветитьWait till you see a stretched F350 or a 8 door Suburban
ОтветитьMany countries didn't have the resources to use on cars. Some may call it waste.
ОтветитьI prefer small cars. I hate thoʻse big stupid cars blocking everyones view. Saw a hummer yesterday on a regular town street. It just makes them look like they must ha e a really small p3nis.
My father picked my first car, which I got in 1984. It was a 76 Buick Regal. Big to protect me from my young driving skills. The best thing about it being so big was that it could fit 2 people, comfortably in the trunk to sneak people into the drive in for free. Backseat easily fit 4 and three in the front. It was a boat! I guess it made maneuvering small cars easier, having learned on such a big one.
Ì think that all the driving we have to do influences a desire for a more luxury driving experience.
NBC can't help but inject their "we're destroying the environment" narrative into this. Also I don't buy this extra 1000 Lbs increasing fatality rates. I want to see the real data for that.
ОтветитьFuel is much cheaper here and always has been.
ОтветитьNarrator failed to mention the enormous weight of batteries in EVs and overestimated American demand for EVs. And chances of a fatality INSIDE a large vehicle are reduced. This report is biased.
ОтветитьI think the Mazda Miata still exists in the US. She's a small roadster weighing in at a mere 2400 pounds. She seats 2, has a 2.0 liter I4 engine, and a 6M transmission in the base model. I'm guessing she would fit your description of a spider car.
ОтветитьI have a 124 Spider Abarth, but I don't drive it very often. My daily driver is a Cadillac XTS. I love a big sedan. My dad always drove big Oldsmobiles growing up, so I guess that's just what I consider normal. We also have a mid-size SUV that we drive on longer trips or if we have long-term guests who need a vehicle during their stay.
ОтветитьCNBC. Now that's an unbiased, fact-based source of analysis about a complex cultural and economic phenomenon...
ОтветитьIn the US, we designed cars as art, you lot designed them for utility.
ОтветитьI disagree, The Cadillac wasn't the king, the Packard Caribbean was.
ОтветитьWe need trucks, we have garages & barns. We haul wood, hay, riding lawn mowers, furniture, trailers & tons of snow on the roads!
ОтветитьFIAT is back in the USA with a new 500e
ОтветитьI think now it comes down to the American v8. I personally own 3 cars that are a v8, and will never own anything without one
ОтветитьMy 68 mustang does not drive or handle as well as my 2005 Mustang GT... I prefer the 1968
