Gulf coast Mississippi here. It's great down here. Hurricanes included.
ОтветитьCrime is NOT down countrywide. The FBI ignored high crime areas when the figures he quoted were🎉released.
ОтветитьHe neglected to mention the politics that are causing people to move out of blue states in droves. The immigration problem is a leading cause of the housing shortage, despite people leaving states. It's not as simple as this would make it seem.
I live in Louisiana. While what he said about the state in general is true, the state varies a lot by region. We have a housing shortage in my area, and the job market is good.
Florida is booming
ОтветитьAlabama here, don't know a soul leaving here
ОтветитьHousing in Alabama is much cheaper
ОтветитьI grew up in West Virginia, and I got out at a young age. I used to go home every three years to see my mom, but that draw is gone and I may never go back. I miss my mountains with all my heart, but i don't miss West Virginia. Not only is it poverty stricken, it's full of ignorant, violent rednecks. My hometown once made someone's list of the ten most redneck small towns in America. I hate being around those people, and I hate the bad memories. Buzz off, West Virginia.
ОтветитьAlabama isn’t losing population it’s been growing! It grew 84,189 in three years. And it’s projected to grow .68% in 2024. Not sure where he got his information from but he’s totally incorrect. Like most of his videos he’s pretty biased and inaccurate a lot.
ОтветитьAlabama should not be on this list....and it's a complete joke that Illinois ISN'T on this list. 😒
ОтветитьWV is losing a lot of people and it is primarily younger people leaving as well. The state really does not offer much of anything for us to stay. The roads are crap, our state government is horrific, there aren't any jobs and the jobs we DO have are crap, and they're consistently doing everything they can to ruin the natural beauty of the state which will hurt their whole tourism focus that they have going on. There are much better opportunities in all five surrounding states and it only takes 2-3 hours for us to drive to one of them.
ОтветитьI believe that Florida will be on that list next year....3 Major hurricanes in 4 years is driving people away. We topped 21,538,000 in population in the 2020 census, and in 2023 the estimate was 22,600,000, and in 2025, despite 2 hurricanes in 2024, it's estimated that we in Floridawill be at 23, 400,000....we are too crowded....waaaay to overcrowded
ОтветитьI live in Portland OR and EVERYTHING he said was invented by him.
ОтветитьKeep in mind Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama are next to each other.
ОтветитьHome❣️Oregon🌲God Smiled upon that Region! You won’t find a prettier State!🌲🐿️🐾🌿🦉Definitely have got to WANT to live there, to endure, You will fall in Luv with Oregon! EASY! ❤ (just steer clear of strangers, that’s good advice! : )
Ответитьthis guy is a low key hater meaning Briggs
ОтветитьHe is so wrong about California California has seen an increase in population in 2024. This guy needs to get his facts straight. This guy in this video is so dumb. I hate when people think that LA is all of California. It is such a small part of California just because they have traffic in LA and it’s really bad. Doesn’t mean that all of California is like that.
Ответитьwow the guy in the video presenter isnt jaded at all and by the way having a very white privileged outlook on life
ОтветитьNew Mexico doesn't want know it all jaded white privileged A HOLES, so if you identify the white privilege do not come to New Mexico the local population DOES NOT WANT YOU HERE! GFYS
ОтветитьThe average house cost $460,500 in my state. But we do have homes that go for $50 million plus. In my town you can buy Taylor Shift's house for $25 million. So, we do house if you can call them houses that run the average price up.
ОтветитьFlorida is massively growing and has been growing very rapidly since 2020.... It’s pretty miserable.😂
ОтветитьI'm a small-town Oregonian transplant. Portland politics is ruining the whole state. That's another reason people are leaving. It's the same reason people are leaving California. Unfortunately, when people leave California, they end up Californicating the states they move to.
ОтветитьI've owned a house for over 44 years. Let me tell you I am sick of taking care of a house. LOL I can't cut my grass anymore; I can't paint it and so on. SO, I need to pay to have things done now. Right now, I'd like to move and rent a place down south some place. I want to get away from the cold and the snow. 🙂
ОтветитьI don't know about Oregon but I would suspect the money for homeless is going to food shelters
ОтветитьCalifornia's taxes and ridiculous governments make living there miserable
ОтветитьCalifornia also has been suffering droughts for a couple decades
ОтветитьMost people move to big cities because those people do not understand the cost of living etc
ОтветитьYou really have to question the original creators ethics.
He's using slight of hand to make his numbers look bigger.
.60% <- looks bigger than this -> 0.6%
Try again lol... every dollar is taxed by the federal gov (irs) then state taxes ,county tax, city taxes, metro taxes (where applicable) then sales tax when you spend it and in some cases a extra entertainment tax added on if its spent on restaurants or movies/concerts/sporting events . * note in some states like Tennessee, residents don't have a state income tax but its subsidized with a higher sales tax that everyone even non-residents have to pay when making a purchase in the state
ОтветитьMost people in NY don't own or need a car so no car loan car ins. no car maintenance. And where can you live and step out the door for theater and restaurants.
ОтветитьJust googled avocados in Anchorage Alaska, $1.53 to $3.50, depending on size and brand. Not $7.00
ОтветитьThe reason Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama are on there is because those states have very high crime rates. New Orleans la, Jackson ms, and Birmingham al. have some of the highest murder rates in the country if not the highest. This video was based on predictions so I guess they think the killings will keep happening.
ОтветитьWrong on all accounts, people move to and from every state every year.
ОтветитьAs far as the average salary amounts compared to England.. I grew up in England, you have free healthcare… we pay thousands for insurance and still have to pay thousands for medicine, drs visits and hospital stays are insane. Several years ago hubby was in the hospital for 4 days cos he smashed his thumb with a hammer. 4 days was over $64k!! if you don’t have insurance which cost a lot of money every month, you have to pay that $64,000. If you do have insurance then you have to come up with 20% of it.
ОтветитьAs a native western Washitonian who had to move to a different because my home state was invaded by Commiefornians who turned it to shit cuz they were to stupid to fix their own states problems by simply voting differently I have this to say, don't be an asshole and invade another state that isn't a blue shit hole even though YOUR THE ONE THAT MADE IT THAT WAY, leave that crap where you came from and start voting red, don't screw over the people in your new state who didn't ask you to come there just because your a damn ignorant selfish prick. Anyways love the show, always enjoy watching you Lewis 😎 big fan from Idaho
ОтветитьI’m a New Yorker for life! I don’t live anywhere near New York City! It’s a 5 hour drive to NYC. Upstate NY is beautiful you have very rural areas farms. Small towns villages and small cities. Housing is very affordable in Upstate NY we have very low crime where ai live. Yes we have high taxes! But it’s home
California is horrible! Liberal’s ruined that state. Nobody can afford to live in California.
Where are these people going? Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, and Texas are all moving to Idaho. The cost of living has quadrupled along with housing prices in the last four years. The worst part is that a lot of these ‘refugees’ of sorts arrive and vote that Idaho should be more like California.
ОтветитьI'm born and raised in California and my mother's family goes back to before the gold rush. It is expensive but I wouldn't live anywhere else. 😊
ОтветитьI lived in Hawaii for most of my life and 40 years later, I had to move. Didn't really want to, but if you don't have a high paying professional job, you can't afford it! Most homes are multi-family or multigenerational homes. You can barely afford a car there 😆. Moved to Washington State and I was able to buy a house and have a couple cars. Of course I didn't live in Seattle though, that's nearly as bad as Hawaii 😂
ОтветитьI live in Louisiana and it's all true. we are indeed washing away.
Ответитьfrom what I'm told I would need to move to canada to get away from the hot/humid summers I'll stay in Missouri where I still get 4 seasons though I hate summer ;)
ОтветитьThe American west is dying - people just don’t want to admit it. They’re eventually going to end up in the northern Midwest where housing is still cheap, the job market is getting better and there isn’t as much risk of not having drinking water.
ОтветитьThe housing price issue like in New Mexico is caused by artificial inflation. There are appraisal companies that have been busted doing things to artificially inflate home values and large companies are buying homes and taking them off the market creating a false demand metric. There are many lawsuits pending but you’re looking at 5-10 years for litigation to come through. In the meantime, the US is heading toward another housing bubble crash like in 2008.
ОтветитьMost states that are losing people, like Cali, New York and Chicago are because the crime rates have rose so high and the homeless people are laying out in the streets. Typically these are our veterans, because all of the 15 to 25 million illegals that have passed through our borders since our president came into office are living in the upper echelon of the hotels and apartments free of charge, given free money, food and medical. All while the citizens of our country are footing the bill and are not able to feed their families or pay for heat or gas for their cars. The people from at least 3 different states are suffering from the reminents of 2 hurricanes, and our administration are not helping them. People are trying to go into the areas with food and supplies, and the police and Fema are stopping them but are not helping. So crazy
ОтветитьLew, he was being facetious when he said Portland gives their money to the homeless.
ОтветитьCalifornia is number one, it's a s**hole
ОтветитьFlorida is definitely one of the top population growers in the US right now. We're getting tons of people moving here from California, New York, and New Jersey. I'd be fine if they didn't come, but a lot of this population boom is also driving a big economic boom here and our unemployment rate was around 1%, much lower than the national average.
We might have to deal with the storms, but you'd respect our local government if you'd seen the mobilization efforts and the amount of rebuilding that is happening here. I've lived here my whole life and we had Landscaping and line men come all the way from Canada to get in on the fast reconstruction. I'd never seen so many trucks come through here from the national guard to just line workers.
Our state is one of a few in the country that doesn't have a huge deficit meaning we don't have a large state debt and our state can pay straight out for a quicker emergency response, and they did with these last two storms. The people flooding our state to work were getting paid very well to do so, and really it just goes to show how on the ball our governor here is.
Yo bro I live in California it is expensive as fuck I would movie out I can barely afford it
ОтветитьThe UK does not have free healthcare, you actually pay way more for healthcare through taxes than we do for way worse care.
Ответить
