Tears came often during this performance... all evoked by Yunchan's playing. Exquisite. What a tender soul he is.

A performance of ineffable beauty and grace. Yunchan Lim is the true successor to the lamented Youri Egorov, the last great pianist. Kudos also to the completely simpatico partnership of Maestro Chung. He and Lim are completely on the same wave length, and the orchestra plays beautifully.

Personally, I find the concertmaster quite distracting, if not outright disrespectful at times, with her smiles.... What is she smiling about? What is this private space that she's creating for herself (and her colleague next to her at times) in front of the wide audience, the soloist and the conductor??? Doesn't she realize whatever she is doing is part of the performance, esp. as someone who's right there for everyone to see? Am I the only one who feels this way?

This is certainly one of the most perfect renditions I’ve ever heard. I can see that he is already a master of beautiful pianism, and he is simply proving that no matter where he performs, he is able to talk through his music to his audience. As one of Yunchan Lim’s fans, I sincerely wish him all the best in his pure passion for music.

yun chan plays as if he talks to me. Sound is so tender and pure.
That is why his performance touches my heart everytime I listen and makes me responding to his sincerity.

Extremely privileged to have attended in person. I remember clearly that on the night of the concert it was pouring it down, roads were basically flooded. After coming out of the concert hall I simply had to walk back to the hotel without an umbrella and let the rain cool me down😂 A lot of people think Yunchan’s fans over exaggerate, but when we hear him play it truly is the emotion we feel - our hearts and souls are ignited and we are overwhelmed by the beauty. People may have different opinions on interpretation, but no one can say that one’s emotions are false. Recordings such as these probably capture 10% of the concert!

His touch. It's all about his touch. It's honest. No overdoing, no dramatics. He's constantly watching the orchestra, they're listening to each other, having a back and forth frank and friendly conversation.
A wonderful artist.

Great performance of this gorgeous concerto all around. Congratulations. Yunchan responds well to this conductor { also in the Beethoven 3}. His instinctive timing must help orchestras enormously. His clarity and precision certainly help his audiences. Thanks for this download.

소위 대가라는 연주가분들의 연주는 이제 손이 가지 않습니다.
- 즉, 결론: 모든 연주는 P.임 윤찬이 연주하기 전과 후로 나눠야 할 듯,.........

the pianist has some odd habits, inserting extra long pauses where not written, long fermatas impede the progress of the music. Technically brilliant but marked by interpretive oddities.
