It seems a bit funny you know. Game developer hires DEI company - people find out they hired said DEI company and make the information publically known - company goes on to deny or minimise the involvement of the DEI company they themselves hired.

Clearly they know that the DEI company isn't good, i have an inkling suspicion they know DEI is a commercial nothing burger, so they always try to say that the DEI company didn't really do anything, but if they didn't do anything then why did you hire them? You know people are going to criticise it, you know that when people criticise it you're going to downplay it, so why even go there to begin with? Seems like the definition of insanity.

I don’t care about the game being diverse or whatever. That means damn near nothing to me, and I don’t think it means much to most people considering how bad these “diverse and equitable” games bomb.
I want a good game. Something fun to play, that has an interesting story or entertaining multiplayer.

There's nothing to address, you either did or you didn't consult with a group that's notorious for "helping" produce awful games.
If you did, then you fail, not because you didn't care about your game, but because you associated with a group you know gamers are not supporting.

That devs opinion just shows that they dont understand. DEI needs to go away; it is genuinely making it worse. As the great Morgan Freeman once said "You want racism to go away, stop talking about it so much." Back in the 90's DEI would of been called what it was blatant racism. Just because this dev didnt put it in their game doesnt mean sbi doesnt force it into games.

They really don’t get what DEID is for, do they? What I personally don’t get is how this keeps happening when it’s been shown a few times now that the playerbase on the average either don’t want any of this or, best case for them, don’t care.
