Would love to see you paint a surfer/surfing scene. Are you still getting out?
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьA+
ОтветитьGreat subject. Great painting. With simplex (yet complex) shapes of color for the fisherman, you really capture the man. The eye fills in the details and it's very convincing.
ОтветитьEvery time I watch your video I feel so inspired!
Ответитьsurf Striper run should be on.. a great time of year to be around the Golden Gate and outer beaches.. Happy Equinox
Ответитьas always I am fascinated again. One question please; have you covered your canvas with gesso or something else before painting?
ОтветитьSo great to see this come to life! I’ve been wanting to add figures to my landscapes and this taught me so much 🎉
ОтветитьThe photo really portrayed it well in the painting 🙌
ОтветитьAnother really nice painting. That pop of red was just what was needed. It instantly draws the eye to the center of interest. With the sand having a reddish tone keeps it from overpowering the eye. I love how the lines and value contrast moves the eye throughout the painting. Beautiful.
ОтветитьNice composition!
ОтветитьVery nice...good comment about putting down a brush stroke and leaving it...I need to work on that!
ОтветитьGreat painting. I love that you did a figure painting. Thanks for sharing .
ОтветитьIs it strange that my favorite part is the sketching out? There is something I find magical in there…. I get kinda sad when it’s covered but the painting is always beautiful. ❤
ОтветитьMichael, I love the fact that you are always trying new things...watercolor, palette knife and now a figure! It's exciting and encouraging for me to see you do this. thanks
ОтветитьReally great! I do love the loose, casual impressionistic feel, rather than some overworked thing. I oil paint too.
ОтветитьLove this figure painting, Michael! The red backpack near the green pants is *chef's kiss*!
ОтветитьAlways look forward to your postings, very helpful pointers explaining your process well done.
ОтветитьNice work! I love it
ОтветитьLooks great!! You found a way to capture a lot of the looseness and feel of your plein air process, and still remove distractions and variables like in the studio.
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьGreat job love your work. I’m a very tight painter and trying to break my style. You are an inspiration.
ОтветитьAwesome! Thanks for showing your process.
ОтветитьThe photo is boring, the painting is wonderful. Some kind of magic there!
ОтветитьThis is how it’s done! Nice work.
Ответитьlovely lovely painting
ОтветитьReally like the dark outline on that figure… gives it sort of Gauguin-vibe. Thanks for sharing this awesome work!
ОтветитьGreat but how did you paint the fishing rod so accurate.?
ОтветитьThanks so much...especially helpful to see you laying on the last colors of loaded brush work.....
ОтветитьMaestro è un piacere seguire i tuoi video.
ОтветитьWhy do you choose to paint outdoor? For your kind of subject, you could very well paint inside your studio.
ОтветитьJust wonderful
ОтветитьThis was a fun one, and something so different than I've seen you do before.
ОтветитьI've been following you for years...
every video of yours amazes me more
you were and still are the best artist ever.
Wish you all the best 🤍
Wow so good!
Love your videos man!
So, did you go outdoors with a photo of an out door scene…..never mind you answered my question right off.
ОтветитьWhere are you getting your fames. I have to make those ( I see ) myself?
ОтветитьVery impressive painting
ОтветитьNicely done, like the color spaces and contrasts. Might try it on the large canvas, Fun!
ОтветитьFantastic .. thank you
ОтветитьQuestion: why did you chose to paint outside w/hand held tablet..I have an attachment for my tripod that holds my tablet..but haven't thought to use it outside..only in the studio..just curiosity on my part! ❤ painting!
ОтветитьDo you ever do on-site plein air classes with experienced painters?
