I Was Wrong About The Z2 Go Legion Go S… (Saved by SteamOS!)

The Z2go windows version (with 32gb and 1TB) is currently $599 at Best Buy, same price as the official SteamOS version you have here. Why not doubt the ram and storage and just install steamOS yourself?

Just had my Z1E Legion Go S (Steam OS variant) arrive today, and I gotta admit, it's exciting that Steam OS is now officially being released on handhelds from other manufacturers. Honestly, maybe Lenovo should've ditched any plans for a Windows variant on the 'Z2 Go' model and just exclusively launched that as a Steam OS SKU... really seems like a better fit for the APU in a device geared for gaming. Excellent video!

Guys, over here in the Netherlands I can only order the Legion S SteamOS with the Z2 go with 32GB/1TB. Z1E is nowhere to be found to pre-order. Buying the Z2 Go version for €675. Same price as the 1TB SteamDeck but with better specs.

Steam OS hype probably is the biggest dumb thing I ever seen . Steam OS is very limited to guess what Steam ? And some third party launchers . Where is the Xbox pass or GOG or epic or Ubisoft?
Yeah windows is buggy but u can do so much more than having bloody steam on . Steam OS can have better battery and performance on it but functions are lacking .
There is no way I would be getting steam OS on my legion go where I have so many Xbox games on pass . Hype is too much

I have the SD OLED. I have sold the OG Ally Z1e and Legion Go. I used both Bazzite and CachyOS on them.
The Legion Go S Z2 Go is on sale, 10% off now. $495 USD + VAT/sales tax. (We have 25% VAT here). I have the itch.....
The SD OLED 512GB is 748USD + VAT.
I would have the Go S on 15W, maybe 18W max. Why not test with games that are perfect for these handhelds? Indie titles and games from the 360/PS3(PS4) era... 10-20 year old games, maybe remastered games like Halo Masterchief collections, Crysis Remastered etc. Who would play Cyberpunk or any new games on handheld if they got a proper PC with a GPU?
I more interested in lower end games on lower wattage. I want the battery to last 3-5 hours, not 1.5hours, when I'm traveling. If I play on 30W I need a bulky power bank or an outlet. I have two bug power bank.
