if you're from the united states... then you might live in a county or city or on a road, street or avenue named Pulaski or maybe a statue ... he was the "Father of the U.S. Cavalry" (Casmir Pulaski) and he was a Polish nobleman Winged Hussar and instilled within the American Continental Cavalry the elan and aggressive nature that has turned many battles into U.S, victories ... we, as a nation, owe a lot to him and the spirit of the Winged Hussars... as a matter of fact, the entire western Christian world owe a lot to the Winged Hussars as they saved the Christian world from a certain defeat at the Battle of Vienna in 1683 and the bells of the Vatican still ring on the day of their victory over the Ottomans of sept. 11, 1683 (yes 9/11, it's not a coincidence )

fun fact: there was a small batle with winged hussars. it was around 100v30 and in the smaller team where the hussars. The hussars won without losing a singular solider

Always wondered about this. A horse should always be able to hold a longer lance than an infantry just need to brace it against the horse somewhere.

hi, great video, I am glad you talk about my national pride. Unfortunately, saying that guns outmatched husaria, isn't correct. You see, husaria armor usually had to go though "shooting test" before being used in a battle, so even guns were failing to stop them. But there is a different reason. What led this people to win such famous battles? spirit! The end of 17th century it is the fall of soldiers spirit, good times create weak men. So, moving forward, many Poles, or Lithuanians just didnt care anymore and prefer to stay at they mansions rather that risk their lives. Exaguration, but I hope you'll get the point.

Well they are the Poles after all, it was their identity.
