Meine Mutter verehrte Esther Ofarim sehr, genauso wie ich. Meine Cousine, die einige Wochen älter ist als ich, wurde 1966 deshalb auch auf den Namen Esther getauft. Bei der Beerdigung meiner Mutter wurde der wunderbare Song deshalb gespielt. Abi Ofarim, niemals so populär wie Esther, war allenfalls ein Anhängsel und Esther konnte ihre Weltkarriere auch ohne Abi fortsetzen, der fortan eher durch negative Dinge in die Schlagzeilen geriet. Der Apfel fällt bekanntlich nicht weit vom Stamm. Sein liebreizendes Söhnchen, seines Zeichens lediglich D-Promi, mutet noch unsympathischer an, als der Herr Papa, der auch schon in den 60er Jahren Programmverantwortliche des bundesdeutschen TV als "Nazi-Schweine" beschimpfte, weil die Ofarims einen vermutlich schlechten Aufrittsplatz erhielten. So schließt sich der Kreis. Esther konnte ich vor einigen Jahren im Nürnberger Opernhaus bewundern und ich verneige mich vor ihr, ihrem großen Talent und ihrer zauberhaften + einmaligen Stimme.
