Based on all the other ridiculous references i could see the writer thinking that was funny...

It's the subtlety of the original that made it work. It's something NONE of the sequels were able to capture as they became too far-fetched to actually be effective. The OG had that sense of suspense building but remaining relatively grounded in reality.

I’m sorry, I’ve always hated the chucky movies, but this is always a shame to watch happen to a classic 80s horror character.

I really dug this remake for trying someone new and different but respect your opinion.

But it’s not as good as the first four movies

I actually liked this new take on the character, also Aubrey Plaza can do no wrong.

Idk why it took me this long to realize how the three Andys are shot at different angles.

I don’t believe this version of Karen is Andy’s mother. Aunt, yes. Older, slightly estranged sister, absolutely. Not his mom. And it’s not because she’s hot lol it’s because she just doesn’t act like a mother.

Actually looking back at the remake and what Don originally wanted, it actually is closer to his original concept.

And seed is actually his baby, he was almost in complete control.

Mancini didn't come up with dembela, or Charles Lee Ray. His original script was called batteries included then it was blood Buddy. I never knew this until I recently saw some behind the scenes of the original and it sounded a lot like the remake. Like Chucky going after andys enemies.

1991 to me was peak Child's Play it was such a good year for mainstream media with bangers like these 1991 was a dark twisted year cycloned with a horror aesthetic which set it off

The name thing doesn't make any sense. How does Han Solo translate to Chucky. Shouldn't it have been Chewy? That I can see it getting wrong with a glitchy sensor.
