Who is that old man? Wow! That's awesome.
ОтветитьGuys I can’t help but think and know this isn’t there first time on this property. I hunt the big woods of New York 6000 acres of state property no food plots or green fields . I installed a vine and a mock scrape 6 years ago and I have big bucks every year on my cameras but this year no sign what so ever no rubs ,no scrapes even acorn weren’t that great but had just as many bucks as year prior . Until I seen the pictures I would have figured no deer are here needles to say on open day a had a shot at a beautiful 8 pointer . The point is look for funnels and travel corridors they usually produce.
ОтветитьNothing new here .... Just a bunch of already knowed stuff.
ОтветитьThere must not be any pressure in those woods if there walking trails that wide open especially in daylight. Id be lucky to see a doe walking in an area that wide open. These deer by me walk through the thickest cover they can find where your lucky if you can find a stand to get a shot without cutting a bunch of branches its usually only one shooting lane 2 if ur lucky
ОтветитьArmourdillers😂 turtle possum
ОтветитьWhats the name of the book? And where can I get it? Always always always listen to the old timers. They are far better hunters than us younger guys. Hunting with no tec or anything special. Pure knowledge from just experience.
ОтветитьNot sure if i missed this but what time of year are you doing this kind of research?
ОтветитьJust after I watch the video on, "Don't Over Think it"......... I watch this. Hahahaha! Love it!
ОтветитьBe Interesting to see what the old guy thinks about Ground blinds. I'm always about 50 to 100 yards with gun season shooting through very narrow cover. Archery... We are 15 yards from a food source.. In the blinds at 3pm or 6 am. We only open 2 windows. Enough to look at what they are feeding on.
ОтветитьThat old man is a good Teacher for scouting buck deer thank you sir.
ОтветитьGuys I’ve listened since the beginning, and I’ve learned a whole lot, but this video has been one of the most educational things I’ve seen. Please. Please keep these coming!
ОтветитьGood medicine right there. Old timer knows his stuff..
ОтветитьEveryone wants to talk about wind direction but if you divide the mountains where I hunt into four different levels you will have 4 different directions of wind, wind that changes and wind that swirls.
Ive started almost completely disregarding wind and focusing on ground scent and thermals. I'm not saying I'm right but I think I do better then the average guy on public. But maybe that's why I don't have a 150" plus.
Always carry a compass. When you scout and pick trees if you have a compass you can make notes on onx as to which winds will be good in what trees. I even carry one turkey hunting when im scouting for deer also. Super helpful for making exact notes on what direction a spot faces and what winds were good
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your knowledge,
ОтветитьMr.Bobby the man speaks facts fellow hunters, take notes 📝!!!
ОтветитьSo this is my second year hunting and I went out scouting and I moved a lot of the down logs out of the way so I can make a clear path in front of my tree stand, I guess that was a decent strategy
ОтветитьWow. Can you be my grandpa :)
ОтветитьTell me about the Crappie run…tastiest fish in the water right there
ОтветитьI will now call armadillos “Armadillers” for the rest of my life.
ОтветитьThis video definitely makes me more confident i might get a shot at my first nice buck this year so i am seeing this stuff in the woods lol
ОтветитьNow we have so many hogs, ya can't tell if it's hog or deer.
ОтветитьThis older gentleman defines the term "woodsman". There should be an entire series with this man's knowledge. A true privilege to listen to.
ОтветитьNotice deer and turkey travel the same routes a lot. You will find that they travel the top edge of ravines on the downhill side. They can look over the top at a great distance, with the least amount of body showing from above. They can look down in the ravine and also see the other side of the ravine. Escape in either direction is quick and out of sight.
ОтветитьI love to see an old timer get in the woods and pass on great knowledge that some would keep to themselves for many years or forever. That’s why I always listened to my dad grandpa and uncles even as a small boy. This stuff could be learned by yourself I guess but it has probably been passed down to that d timer and we all know by some of his videos he has killed tanks.
ОтветитьAmazing video I love it!!!!
ОтветитьWhat I want to know is if this matters weather it’s on the windward or leeward side
ОтветитьActually learned a few things on this video, these are the scouting tips I really was looking for
ОтветитьOk i don't ever comment on videos .But this is one of the best I've seen explaining this stuff.
ОтветитьYou could use your tracking tool on your onX to walk out the trails and get an idea of where the closest points are. That’s what I do being a solo public land hunter
ОтветитьBobby is my favorite! Thanks for doing this.
ОтветитьMan he’s being pretty hard on you 😂
ОтветитьThis is an Awesome video.
Very informative. 👍👍
Good
ОтветитьThe best information on the entire internet. I really enjoyed this. Thanks
ОтветитьGreat content!!!
ОтветитьThat old guy doesn't brush into branches, leaving scent. The younger guy does.
ОтветитьAbsolutely awesome. I'm 51 and started hunting in my mid early 40s. I still have yet to find someone willing to share knowledge like this. Round my parts they want to keep it all a secret it seems.
Ответитьawesome video !
ОтветитьI dont undestand why everyine is always concered with N or.NW winds?
Winds here are almost.never from nNw!
Been around old-timers like this my whole life. Everything you say is wrong, or half-right at best, and everything they say is made up on the fly... and always right. I like the "you're thinking too fast, slow down... followed by the "it's getting dark on us, let's speed this up." just a few minutes later. 🤣 Love it... great teaching moments, for sure... great video man, keep em' coming!
ОтветитьLook can I bring him to where I hunt and give me some advice 🤣🤣🤣 everything I have learned is from DIY. I haven’t had anyone show me how to hunt or how to find a spot I always just learn by videos like this and boots on the ground but would love to find someone like him to help me in real time in the woods to help me look at where I’m hunting
ОтветитьGreat video, it’s one thing to talk about it and another to show people what you’re talking about. Keep em coming
ОтветитьDon’t put music over the video!
ОтветитьWe need more of this with this guy! Wow! Learned so much.
ОтветитьLol...shows u how little the younger hunter knows about the basics. But he probably can pack a sack of corn in.
ОтветитьAwesome video!
ОтветитьReally informative video! Really appreciate the step by step instruction on breaking the funnel down. Made perfect sense after watching it.
ОтветитьHunt the evening boys !
