This special coat given to Joseph in Hebrew interpretation the "coat of many colors" is referred to as "ketonet passim" (כְּתֹנֶת פַּסִּים), which can also be interpreted as "coat of many marks" or "striped garment," as the word "passim" can refer to stripes or distinct markings rather than just colors. So a garment with many marks is another translation.

Would it make sense that the skins provided to Adam and Eve were of the earthly veil when went into the lone and dreary and cast out of the garden?

I love the stuff Andrea puts forth. I actually really do. But I can’t help wondering where she gets all of this information. How does she know things like when she says the Savior passed through the “colored veil” when coming into mortality and then passed through a “white veil” when passing back through it to return to Heavenly Father? Where is that in the scriptures? Is that doctrine or just what she thinks “makes sense?” I’m not being critical, I’m genuinely curious. Would love to know the answer.

What about what she said about Joseph’s coat of many colors being a “priestly coat” that he inherited to “traverse the veil?” Where does that interpretation come from?

What about the idea that all ancient temples (Solomon’s, the tabernacle, etc) all focused on Christ’s condescension and every modern temple focuses on our own ascension? Where does that doctrine come from?

How does she know that the story of Jacob and Esau is a temple ceremony?

So--- recently in temple Endowment sisters no longer vail their faces-- as we meet the Bridegroom. I've been looking for why.

Esau GAVE away to birthright, because he was being chased by the great hunter Nimrod whom he took the cloak (high priesthood robe from). Esau's fear of death is what causes him to give away the birthright to Jacob. I think fear is the opposite of faith, which is wicked..... Rebecca was required to veil her face. She represents Heavenly Mother (Divine Feminine). Our goal is to get back to the Mother (tree) and partake of the Fruit (Jesus Christ's love)! Beautiful!

The temple endowment was given as a set of directions to lead you along the path back to the presence of the Father. However, it has been changed many times since Joseph Smith first instituted its practice, and with each change, important directions, symbols, and clues have been lost. It makes no difference who made these changes or what their justification has been. Each time a change is made, important information meant to act as symbolic signposts to guide us on our journey are removed. The keepers of the ordinances will change the order for three reasons: 1. To 'streamline' the ordinance to suit their needs, believing the faster they do the ordinance is what matters. 2. They cut out things that may offend other patrons because they and the initiate do not understand the symbolism the ordinance is pointing to. 3. They transgress "the Law", i.e. they go beyond the bounds of Christ alone providing salvation, and claim it is the dead works that will save the initiate.

A veil is a 'hinge point' symbol between an earthly mortal covenant and a heavenly immortal bride through eternity.

As you were talking about the meaning of the Atonement, I was reminded of President Nelson’s message and invitation during conference to “devote time each week - for the rest of your life- to increase your understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ”. There's an AWESOME part of the Jacob and Esau story regarding Jacob's Mother😊 It was in HER wisdom to disguise Jacob's hands as those of Esau in order to continue the Priesthood blessings for future generations. She must have been tutored herself by Heavenly Angels to have such confidence to take the birth right blessing away from one son to give to the one chosen by GoD!

My husband has deployed 5 times for a year or more each time, on top of his many military travels for shorter periods of time.
