The EEA Grants and Norway Grants represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to reducing economic and social disparities and to strengthening bilateral relations with 16 EU countries in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltics.
Within Programme LV04 "Conservation and revitalization of cultural heritage" small grant scheme "Cultural Exchange" project "Film programme exchange between Riga International Film festival and Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival” (Latvia) was implementeed by Association “Riga International Film festival” in cooperation with Kristiansanad International Children's Film festival, Barnefilmfestivalen AS.
Kristiansand International Children's Film festival representatives have recommended and summarized a program of 8 Nordic films, which have been screened in Riga International Film festival. In its turn, Riga International Film festival have prepared a program, consisting of the same amount of mostly Latvian as well as Baltic films, specially targeted for youth and children's audiences. Animation workshops for children took place in Riga International film festival; workshops' course, thematic focus as well as participation of leading professionals have been advised by Kristiansand International Children's Film festival.
