Doc of Chucky’s Thommy Hutson on Why the Child’s Play Reboot Failed but Chucky Series Was Successful
Chucky was first introduced in 1988 in the movie Child's Play. The doll, who just happened to be possessed by a serial killer, looked innocent enough, but would go on to kill hundreds of people, ruin Andy's life, get married, and even have a kid. The Shudder documentary takes a deeper look at the franchise, which currently has seven films and a TV series with three seasons.
