A couple concerns I had was 1. over steeping. As you well know if coffee steeps too long the valitil oils will burn and give off a bitter taste. 2nd. What did you mean by waiting a few weeks after brewing? Also how are you storing your coffee? Again, as you well know, air and coffee are not friends. Too much exposure to air will causes the air to go stail. I am always happy to watch your show. It's always good for fellow coffee efficien-autos to talk shop.
ОтветитьHey it's December 2011 and no new post. I find your posts extremely educational, you removed the process of making and the enjoyment of fine coffees from the esoteric to something that even one of the unwashed masses such as myself could understand. Thanks man.
Ответить@davideshafer Thanks for watching. I have no idea what your comments have to do with cupping coffee though. This is the standard way to taste and compare coffee set forth by the SCAA. The coffee is fresh. I store coffee in a coffeevac, that keeps the coffee from the oxygen outside and eliminates light as well. It also allows the coffee to degas. Please include the time of the video that I mentioned "weeks after brewing" I couldn't find it. Thanks for watching! ツ
Ответитьsure are hard on the wife
ОтветитьI'm not really. After 18 years of marriage, she's earned the right to steal my secret stash of coffee. I guess it just shows that it was really good :)
Ответитьi totally agree with you on blends. i purchase my coffee from a single source in South America directly from the grower.
ОтветитьSO you just add ground coffee to water (no brewing process) How much coffee per amount of water roughly? great vids man
ОтветитьHow to you keep roasted coffee whole beans fresh?
ОтветитьHow about Kenya?
ОтветитьGuy talks about how the SCAA cupping guidelines are really simple then throws them out the window for this "how to" video. Shaking my head
ОтветитьI would love for you to review our coffee ;)
