Salmon...ouch!
ОтветитьAs always, great information. Best reviewer on the tube. Thanks
ОтветитьI really want an oven option that isn't stainless but I am concerned how the colored finish hold up to use...can they etch/scratch revealing the metal underneath?
ОтветитьI noticed that you didn’t mention GE Slate. For the longest time, it was the only alternative to stainless in my area.

ОтветитьI have lived with a Whirlpool side by side with ice maker refrigerator for years. I must say, it is a PIA to keep clean and free of RUST! I would never recommend buying a consumer stainless steel anything, other than say a toaster. This is not the same quality stainless steel you will find in commercial appliances. And yes, I am cleaning it right now. The rust is like what you would find on a car that was delivered via rail. The wheels on the rail cars throw off what is called "Rail Dust". It is hot tiny pieces of steel from the wheels that settles on the paint and burns right through to the metal. In time the metal starts to rust, not good on your car finish, or your consumer appliances. That is what this cheap stainless steel reminds me of, a rail dust damaged automobile.
ОтветитьI've grown to hate stainless. Fortunately, a trip to any auto parts store and $30 yields a solution. A little sandpaper, degreaser, and any color I want in a handy spray can.
