Marc and Paige: as I’m sure you know in the pending budget bill there’s a bizarre section that would limit federal courts’ ability to enforce contempt citations against government officials. In messing with the courts’ power, isn’t Congress overstepping? Could someone sue? Can a court take Congress to court? Who would have standing? Seems like we all should.

Thinking about those law firms that have given in to trump’s attacks and promised so many Pro Bono hours.
Does anyone think that trump will use those hours on truly Pro Bono cases? Perhaps he will bend the term Pro Bono to match anything he wants legal assistance on.

The Supreme Court has been woefully biased with the Trump agendas led by Alito and Thomas. They've ignored precedent, accepted theories over the actual laws. They are now under pressure and scrutiny from us to uphold the constitution became of the firms and institutions that have refused to bow and take it up the ass for money and favor. With the federal courts we've seen an amazing amount of pushback against Trump, and their diversity should hold the Supreme Court to the same level of unbiased decisions. The Federal Court in New York just called Trumps Executive Orders illegal and stopped his tariffs, will the Supreme Court uphold that decision or will they hand Trump Executive overreach? With continued pressure from the lower courts decisions to uphold the laws and the constitution, especially when their decisions are based on law and not vague theories we will see if they'll lay down direct ,strongly written decisions without leaving wiggle room. WE can help by keeping up even more pressure on them by putting them in the same conversations with Trump. Man Marc, I read that story this morning and then I watched you guys this and it gives me even more resolve, your leadership and our protests are working, let's ramp up our pressure on The Supreme Court folks.

Here’s what concerns me. Understandably theirs a lot of deserved anger for Trump supporters but the republicans are working hard to limit democrats vote so unless we all try to bring all citizens together I feel that their won’t be enough excepted votes counted for democrats

Those firms that capitulated need to "renegotiate" the terms of their "deal" and either get control choosing which cases they have to work pro bono, or substantially reduce the dollar amount of pro bono work they're giving away.

It won't fix the reputational damage already done but at least they won't make it much worse with each case they work on.

I'm not a lawyer so I don't know if what I'm suggesting is legal - I'll let you make that determination. Could the law firms which capitulated dissolve and reconstitute under a different name so that the "agreements" couldn't be enforced since the firm that signed onto the agreement no longer exists.

I would never give my business to a law firm who cowers before TACO bully tRump. When push gets to shove the heads of those spineless firms are going to throw you under you under the bus. If you need a law firm, find one with same integrity.
