For those who own a newer models that comes with Airbags, be real careful at the time you remove the seat from it position on the floor due to the cable that is hooked to the floor and also with the wiring, I do recommend disconnect the battery and even with that precaution make sure you have a radio with a security code, which you will need it at the time you hooked the power back
ОтветитьThey really turned out amazing
ОтветитьHey Mikey, A job very well done. You certainly redefine the term "Slapping Leather" Just sayin. Cheers, Mate.
ОтветитьMichael, did you buy the seat fabric already sewn together into a cover, or did you have Corrie sew it up for you? I ask because I am going to be redoing the seats in both my Bronco and my wife’s 4Runner.
Also while I’m in there we are going to be adding heated seats along with full power adjustments.
He kinda of reminds me of Jim Carrey lol
ОтветитьSorry, can you do that over again? I was distracted by the incomplete YT 492727ZED in the background...
ОтветитьAfter watching the console mock up video, I searched for replacement seats for your rig. I couldn't find the correct color and the seats weren't in any better shape than what you had. These turned out great.
ОтветитьGreat job Mike.
Ответитьthank you share detail the video
from Australia
Looks absolutely stunning. Great job Michael!
ОтветитьLooks like it turned out awesome, great work! How do you find the comfort level compared to the seats prior to doing this repair?
ОтветитьI think you can steam them to get the wrinkles out.
ОтветитьWow. Just Wow. What a job to tackle!
ОтветитьFreekn awesome, nicely done!
ОтветитьNice YT freighter ;) and a little ID4 tune at the end there too?
ОтветитьWhy didn’t you add seat heaters I got a set from Amazon for 60 bucks and it was a beyond easy install when I added my Lseat covers to my 80
ОтветитьUp next, how to change out the upholstery on the back seat!!
ОтветитьSo, after everything, would you do it again?
ОтветитьAny coupon codes for your subscribers?
ОтветитьGreat job! I did this when I converted my Gen1 Tacoma to 4runner leather seats and it was way easier than I thought it be! I did replace the foam with new OEM though. My back used to hurt after an hour of driving but now a trip from SF to Tahoe is no problemo!
ОтветитьAny issues with adding foam and the cover being too small now?
Did you consider buying new OEM seat foam?
Love it been tempted to have my seats redone, just don't want to pay for it. Where did you order you covers? And are you satisfied with the finish?
ОтветитьWould you suggest ? should i add Dimond stitches or just regular? where did you buy that foam?
Ответитьwhat thickness of the foam should i buy? one inch?
ОтветитьNice job
ОтветитьNice work!
ОтветитьWhat's the green tool (wired) you're using on the foam before you attach it? I'm about to do the Exact. Same. Job... so thanks for the inspiration and instruction!
ОтветитьWonderful result. But to be honest I would much prefer to have a craftsman like yourself renovate the seat than a man like myself who hasn't your talents
ОтветитьOn average typically how much sqft of leather do you use for 1 car seat
ОтветитьNeed rebath to get into the car upholstery business😂
ОтветитьHow 2 take out the whole seat on van econoline?
ОтветитьThose covers look terrible. Videos like this degrade what true upholstery is the craft of an upholsterer. All those wrinkles shouldn’t be there and it has a very loose fit which is not okay. Seat covers that you guy like that from Lseat use the absolute cheapest material possible so eventually you’ll be right back where you started, with a ripped seat. Yes you pay a little more with your local upholstery shop but if you care more about saving that $200, you’re what’s wrong with this world.
ОтветитьHow have these held up? I hear iffy things about LSeat leather and I'm trying to decide what to do about my seats. Tried the Procar Elite Lumbars and they're nowhere near as comfy as stock.
ОтветитьSo to make new seats, could you hypothetically just remove the old leather and then put a seats cover hover the foam that's left?
ОтветитьWho did the stitching in the leather covering
ОтветитьWondering will he do this for people I I’m need him to do mines 🤔
ОтветитьGreat video it’s underrated
Ответитьawesome job! thank you for detail technic show and display
ОтветитьI want to do this without removing my seats...
Ответить🤌🏾Wouldve been nice to see the sewing part, THATS the hard part
ОтветитьWhere can i find seat covers like this for a 2012 honda crv ex-l? Are those after market, specific to that car or is it a universal seat cover? Thanks
Ответитьnice job..., did u do new leather yourself or paid 4 that, then install yourself???
ОтветитьExcellent thanks! I plan to do mine after receiving the leather. I will do one seat per weekend. Starting with the passenger seat first. The next weekend should go smoother with the driver's side seat. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhy is the leather not taunt? It kind of looks....not finished.
Ответитьwhere did you get the Replacement Upholstery from?
ОтветитьWow, thank you so much for sharing this video. I really like the fact of how you go into detail of how to install the hog rings with hog ring pliers.
I’ve been really looking to replace the seat covers on my 32 year old car the only thing I was worried about was the seat foam whether I get it right or not, what type of leather did you use exactly?
I heard that NAPA leather is the best either that or full grain leather.
Do you remove the headrest sockets to remove and replace leather without tearing it?
ОтветитьI’ve seen better
