The word "kunafa" كُنافه is derived
from the Arabic word"kanaf," كَنَف which means "to surround" or "to enclose." first appeared in the Levant region , it's not turksh it's Arabic dessert and the cheese one called Nabulsi kunafa it's Palestinian

Do you belive me I bought this deep freeze on a Turkish bazaar because did looked like Traditional BUREK - not Burek Bulgerians call Burek- now Im googling what I bought? OK, I will try, but could die if Im diabetic....definitely not lunch I planned

I made this in the oven, the kataif dough came out very hard like uncooked spagetti, what did I do wrong? Should I cook the kataif dough before I use it?
