The grinder switch is safe, if your clothes' sleeve gets stuck u just need to punch it with free hand

ОтветитьWhen we bought we're now living in, a live wire hung loose, not terminated, just snipped off in an attic closet. You know, the ones under the roof in confined space. Dust could've sparked any moment potentially leading to fire...
ОтветитьPeople in modern times don't truely grasp how difficult things were two generations ago. They don't truly understand what it takes to get by with only what you have available at the time. I wouldn't classify anything in your video as a fail!
ОтветитьYour grandmother's cats rule and so does this tour of her place.
ОтветитьThe poor black cat doesn't have a dish to eat out of. That's so racist 🤣
ОтветитьThe conclusion super dodgy
ОтветитьOne of my friends fathers connected the lighting in his basement to the hot and the ground. The neutral was not connected.
This was North American 120 volt 2 phase. I guess there was no GFI.
Dodgy.
Yikes 🤨

ОтветитьWe Slavs all have one thing in common. How can we do it? Easy. This is result
ОтветитьAlways wear rubber slipper or flip flops n it’s ok…
Ответитьeu plugs have got to be the worst of the lot
ОтветитьThe house is SUPER DODGY ☠
ОтветитьI would just route the cables on the walls and the ceiling. (no cables in the wall.) for aesthetic looks too. I just somehow like cables on the wall/ceiling. 🤔
ОтветитьYou sure were a busy youngster!
Playing with wires from birth.... 🤣😷🦠. CATS = TOXOPLASMOSIS.
Actually all of this is completely safe because it’s CAT VII safety rated
ОтветитьTy vole ty jsi Čech? Už chápu ten přízvuk.
Damn, you are Czech! I understand your accent now! :D

ОтветитьAž teď jsem zjistil že jsi čech
ОтветитьYou wouldn't understand it. It is called ultima engineering. Not many people will know it before year 2150.
ОтветитьI am here for the cats !
Ответитьpodle toho jak ji mluvil v jiném videu anglicky tak si říkam to bude čech a nakonec v tomhle videu podle paní vím že jsi z česka nice :D
ОтветитьČesko 😍

ОтветитьYou're from France ? I'm from Germany but we don't have metal in the middle
ОтветитьThe wiring is horrible but the cats are incredible 😍
ОтветитьMit kell itt csodálkozni? Nálunk Magyarországon ennél furább megoldások is léteznek. Akik pedig illegálisan "vételezik" a hállótati villanyt, ők a legjobb villanyszerelők, mert eddig egyszer se találták meg őket holtan.
Ez ráadásul egy elég "elegáns" megoldások ahogy így elnéztem.
Who used copy / paste on the cat?!
ОтветитьI suppose you could at least replace those 2 pin plugs with 3 pin ones without changing anything
ОтветитьI saw ZERO problems until those BLOODY HELL cats showed up. They are terrible electricians.
Ответитьthe best part was the the door lock holding arrangement
Ответитьproč nemluví babička anglicky? :D
ОтветитьThis is the safest house I ever seen.
ОтветитьDon't forget to hug your grandma and to tell her that you love her, Diode Gone Wild!
ОтветитьJako bych šel na návštěvu k mým prarodičům 😄😄
ОтветитьLiterally every house in a former communistic country
ОтветитьWow some real shady looking wiring..
I guess the best thing is to make sure no plug or wires are getting hot with a laser temperature gun..
Those cats look healthy & fat , thanks to gramma for looking after them..
Cheers from HudsonBay Canada 🇨🇦
😅
ОтветитьWow, even here in the states with our "highly dangerous" plug design and "outdated" choice of 120VAC, we don't have old wiring this bad. I suppose, historically, because of rampant communism and the Islamic Ottoman Empire, Eastern Europe has been poor, so there wasn't much of a choice of materials and sources to get decent electrical systems set up. (Plus, this is a concrete house, right? We've got wooden houses so we can run wires in the wall cavities.)
P.S. We do have older wiring which we call "knob and tube" that can be dangerous. It's a wire suspended in the walls with simple ceramic standoffs ("knobs" and "tubes"). It's a clever and practical design for it's time, however if wall insulation is place too close, or dust accumulates, it can start to leak current, or overheat the wire. I have also seen DIY wiring which was bad, but yeah, that was DIY of the not-quite "handy" handyman style! (I.E. Someone who knew how to hook wires together, but not how to do it safely.)
Also, some of the very ancient fuse panels had fuses with a screw-in base ... some of them were poorly designed, in that you could stick a penny behind it and it would bypass the fuse! Heehe, don't try that at home kids...
One last thing ... we did have a run of a manufacturer in the 50's to 70's that made faulty circuit breakers. They can jam inside and fail to break the circuit. Nowadays, houses will (typically) NOT pass inspection with such a breaker panel, and electricians will usually refuse to work on it unless it is being replaced entirely.
P.S.2. That knife sharpener... what's the age and manufacturer of that motor?
P.S.3. BTW The end-on-end plugs/sockets could be okay safety wise if they are properly wired and rated for the circuit. The main thing is, with more contact points in series, you have less reliability.
Only for smart people, it can be called "smart people tester" if you arent smart you know what i mean
