Did you know that for like the first five years I’ve been watching Drach that I thought he was blind? Be sure to ask all your drum questions because eventually they will be answered.

When Drach covers IJN vessels, he should deliberately make his gestures exaggerated and abrupt -- and then desynchronize the audio from the video by at least a full second... It would be EPIC!

What's up with the ads?

Lee might turn that battle of Jutland considering he notably used a Battleship's secondaries to shoot out the lights of the Jap fleet in pursuit to evade at night after drawing them off the rest of the US fleet. He was the one man who could not only trade fire with a battleships guns but pick what room of the enemy ship to hit because Lee doesn't miss. In drills he walked shots to target ships to within a few feet. Just imagine if Lee's calculations aided targeting systems would have been in UK and US ships at the start of WWII instead of installed during and piecemeal.

4+ hours! The Drach we all want!

A later doctrine for rocket attacks on shipping (I read somewhere) was to use AP and to aim low about 60' in front of the target.
The idea was that the projectile path would tend to flatten out as it entered the water and hole the target below the waterline.
So what looked like footage of a near miss in front would probably be a hit.

With lancs and Tallboys around. The raid on St Naizare may not have been needed. As a Tallboy is going to make a lovely crater in the dry dock. The shockwaves etc could well shatter many of the pipes to the pumps to flood the docks.

I know in live segments you're thinking on the fly...But for the question on WWII without previous major wars, I'm surprise you didn't mention submarines. Or do you think the Germans would have progressed to a certain extent anyway? I would think anti-submarine tactics and weaponry would lag due to lack of need and perhaps the whole development of detroyers. Very interesting question. I'm thinking on the fly as well....

Yeah, I forget who's bright idea had the alternate history of USS Enterprise- CV-6 being sunk in early '42. But it was evidently a Japanese sympathizer cuz Enterprise was really the only good thing that the US had going for it in '42 & '43. And by the end of the war was THE MOST DECORATED SHIP in the US Navy!!
