this was very helpful, thank you.. i thought i knew all the basics to credit cards but i didnt.. i dont own one myself yet either because i just got out of university a few years ago and since i was planning on getting back into it with an MA program i didnt bother finding a high paying job.. now im back in uni but ive realized to make the kinds of purchases that are sometimes necessary at my age i need good credit.. i feel so much more informed now and a lot more comfortable finding out more

oh and could you please do another video possibly discussing student credit cards specifically? things to look out for maybe, what kind of perks to look for.. etc.. pls and thank u!

the best tip is to have a prepaid credit card u don't have to pay a bill or nothing but as long there money on it your all set but just figure i would toss that out there for people that may not know about it

do you know which credit card out there has the best deal for lowest interest rates?

I only use my credit card when I know I already have the money in my bank account. I mainly use it when I buy online and it's the rule I stick to. For bigger purchase ( like my computer) I took the credit card the store offered ( had to asks a LOT of questions to understand how it works) I have a year to pay it back :)

Student cards are essentially the same as regular cards...just make sure you read the find print and find out what kind of fees, if any, they charge. Also, make sure you know what the interest rate is - some may have a 0% for a year, but after that it could be much higher. As long as you pay your balance off every month you won't owe any in interest charges. Thanks for watching and let us know how it turns out!

@StilettoFashion411 That is a very individual choice! There are some websites that will help you sift through all the cards, I have links in the description. There are many cards that offer 0% interest, and have no fees. If you're going to pay it off each month, look at the card that has the best perks that you want. Also, make sure you read all the fine print, because many cards offer 0% for the first year and then it goes up! Good luck, and thanks for watching!
