I'm a Guy Pearce fan. Never knew this version of A Christmas Carol existed. Excellent! Very VERY dark! Probably nearer to the truth of what the Scrooging money lenders were like in those days. Natures currency expoited by the money lenders & headmasters to the hilt. Thank you for uploading!
ОтветитьOh thank you for uploading!
ОтветитьOh how nice they made it all racially Woke at the same time the UK outlawed slavery so as to make it up to date. And not everyone is happy or forgiven in the end but 'victims'. Ah yes.
ОтветитьGoddamn woke revision crap. Yeah let's make the Crachett wifey a black victim.
ОтветитьI love this Christmas carol version way better than the other versions.
ОтветитьWhy produce a TV film which does not fill the 16:9 screen? Crazy.
ОтветитьTWO ad breaks within 6 minutes ended my interest.
ОтветитьScott Free/Hardy Son & Baker/BBC/FXP/20th Century Fox Television (2019)
ОтветитьRubbish.
Ответитьseriously i watch this but i cant understand it well my question is this gonna help me and is not for gcse but i think act of violence
Ответитьand wait why the LndonsBadGirl
ОтветитьThis particular Christmas carol was at it's ultimate darkness.
ОтветитьI specifiaclly asked for no adverts!!!!
Ответитьconstant adverts, rubbish!!!!
ОтветитьGET OUT OF MY HOUSE
ОтветитьDarkest version I have ever seen. Youch.
ОтветитьDire rubbish.
ОтветитьThis is beyond epic! I love new aspects with Marley and incorporate the take of Scrooge hating the falsity and hypocrisy of Christmas!!
ОтветитьA bit dull
ОтветитьWhen can we watch a similar adaptation of
H. G. Wells’ «The Time Machine»
Mary W. Shelley’s «Frankenstein»
Bram Stoker’s «Dracula» ?
This is by far the darkest and most intense version of A Christmas Carol I have ever seen. Also the most touching. It is quite lovely. I love it! But I think I like the normal version of the story better. I love a lot of those adaptations better.
ОтветитьNo wonder Mrs. Cratchit did not forgive Scrooge. Attempted rape is unforgivable.
ОтветитьI like the happier Christmas Carol adaptations better. This one is great but too dark and depressing.
ОтветитьThis Ebenezer Scrooge is much more vile than usual. Especially because of what he did to Mrs. Cratchit.
ОтветитьFor the spirits, past, present and future- There is still much to do.🎄
ОтветитьHas to be the worst take on Scrooge. Modern rubbish . Shame as Guy Pearce was very good .
ОтветитьThe worst version ever.
ОтветитьI love this movie, but I think my favorite is the way it ends. Sure it's depressing that Scrooge isn't immediately forgiven and is still alone unlike other versions of "A Christmas Carol" when he celebrates Christmas with the Cratchits, but in my opinion it's more realistic and bittersweet and a bit more original than other versions. Scrooge isn't forgiven for his past actions and isn't immediately a good person, but regardless he still chooses to be a better person from now on and that's what matters most, he's changing. That's why I love when he walks off into the crowd seemingly happy with his good deed he did for the Cratchits, it gives off that feel-good vibe of hope, inner peace and a fresh start at life
.
And yes this isn't your typical joyful holiday film, but it's not supposed to be. It's a dark, depressing and slightly realistic horror take on the original tale and I think FX nailed it. I still like watching it around Christmas. But nonetheless the trope of redemption and being good to others is still there.
Happy birthday Jesus, Thank You for everything🌹
ОтветитьThis portrayal is so close to what I feel like the pain my father carries that I cannot reach...
I love you, Dad..
Utter garbage..
ОтветитьI think thought this was absolutely vile .its just the. Modern thing to involve sex into absolutely everything .is there something wrong with just being nice .im only 52
ОтветитьI wonder when GUY PEARCE is going to imagine the "prequel" to Dickens "A CHRISTMAS CAROL" and especially with only this BBC version being the foundational material (and may be a few "other significant historical contexts") ....
(the battle goes on ...)
Do the translation feature, Arabic language please
ОтветитьInteresting take….Animal cruelty, sexual abuse, sadism, just what a Christmas Carol needed I guess?
ОтветитьMy favourite ever adaptation. Deep and dark
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьWhy these anoying adverts...
ОтветитьI would very much, like you to absentee myself from any cognitive recognition of your own....forget my existence sir.....that would be relevant....
ОтветитьA despicable heathen population, obsessed with the privacy of others.....quite adamant in their insistence about invading the rights of fellow citizens....
ОтветитьWay too many adverts!!
ОтветитьMy favorite is with George C Scott but this version is definitely a close second
ОтветитьGood move
ОтветитьIt used to be that the only “christmas carol” movie I’d watch is the Alister Sims one from the 1950s. Then this one came along…it is superb on every level. I LOVE the inclusion of Mrs Cratchet’s (?spelling) side of the story. We watch it every year where we can find. Thank you @londongbadgirld for posting it here. ❤
ОтветитьDidn’t enjoy it. It has none of the warmth of the original story. I like the casting but it’s not Dickens’ story.
ОтветитьExcellent, love this,i will always love the original too.but this is a great story
ОтветитьI love the Old black and white A Christmas Carol movies but this has become my favorite since I first watched it about 8 years ago. Thank you for showing it.
