Good old silent western! Merry Christmas and Happy, Safe New Year Rhetty !
ОтветитьBill tilghman was my freind rex tilghmans grandfather.
ОтветитьAmazing little film, just when you think there's nothing left to learn about Oklahoma history. I'm surprised it was saved, and it's condition was good enough to film this much of it. You did good. Merry Christmas to you, and family.
ОтветитьVery interesting. Great choice of music, too 😊
ОтветитьVery good film making. Nice to see a Western done in accurate real location instead of Mojave desert or Hollywood lot. Most Wild West stuff was probably more like this than what is seen from Hollywood.
ОтветитьNote how they dresses, and the hats. Hollywood can't get it right.
Ответитьloved the movie...thank you
ОтветитьSuper, you are top shelf. So enjoyable. Real people, doing recreation, can not beat that. Have to see more and will go over this on big screen at home, instead of this phone.Thank you, as usual GREAT
ОтветитьTilghman is the most under rated law men of the west.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed this film. I have many stories of my great grandfather James Monroe Ferris who was a US marshal chasing Red Buck. James spent many hours searching for Red Buck and his gang who were very cold blooded.
ОтветитьWas a whole lot of "passing" violently going on with that group.
ОтветитьReally neat film I have looked for the film before. It is a great upload
ОтветитьRhett, I enjoyed this true Old West vintage film, it's an old saying that "ain't nothing like the real thing." Happy holidays! Take care 🐎
ОтветитьI miss the good old days even though I was born to late for them
ОтветитьWhow that was a treat. 105 years ago and some historical accuracy too boot.
ОтветитьGood stuff!!! Thanks for sharing this!!! 😃
Val.
What a Christmas treat!!! Thanks for sharing! Al Jennings also had his cinematic fling as an outlaw, but this was outstanding. I'm glad I lived long enough to view it over and over. Too bad Heck Thomas had passed away 3 years earlier as it would have been great to see, "The Three Guardsmen" in action. Truly great stuff! Thanks, Rhetty.
ОтветитьIs this supposed to be just music? I am at about eight minutes and still no spoken words…
ОтветитьKinda humorous that Chicago wouldn't let it be screened because of their "moral code" against train robbers. I guess they were too used to gangsters gunning everybody down with tommy guns, one way rides, hand grenades, and bombings in gangland turf wars. So, wild west train robbers were not allowed. Could corrupt the children.
ОтветитьThat was very enjoyable, thanks 👍
ОтветитьExcellent find....Thanks...
ОтветитьCool video! I love the music too🎸🎶🎵🎵
ОтветитьLoved it well put together and yes saw some you have used in other video's Love the old films Thankyou very much for sharing
ОтветитьGreat video Rhetty and wishing your family and you a very Merry Christmas!!
ОтветитьYou have to love the hats
ОтветитьHello fellow Okie! Merry Christmas!
Ответить1915 is the year my grandpa was born. We aren't as far removed from those days as we may think.
ОтветитьFilmed only twenty years after the events depicted ,and with some of the characters still living. A remarkable little film.
ОтветитьLove the music. Perfect for the movies. Love all your videos, Oklahoma history is rich and varied.
ОтветитьGotta love that black powder smoke.
ОтветитьGreat soundtrack
Ответить6th time I have watched this, I really enjoy it.
ОтветитьWhat an absolute treasure, I’m glad that there is some of this film remaining for future generations to see. Thanks Rhetty ❤️🇦🇺🦘
ОтветитьCool soundtrack !!
ОтветитьThank you for uploading
ОтветитьHey Rhetty. I cancelled my membership on patreon and joined on you tube channel. I got it. thanks
ОтветитьAnd where is Arkansas Tom?
ОтветитьArkansas tom footage is lost........there's still photo's of his scene and they don't appear anywhere in what we have left............go to wiki and put in passing of oklahoma outlaws and on the right there a pic of Arkansas tom's scene which didn't survive, sorry y'all
ОтветитьProbably gonna make my Red Dead Posse dress like this and rename it to the Wild Bunch. Then go on some robbery missions. Never mind, they are too lazy to add those.
ОтветитьBorn and always lived in Tulsa Oklahoma, I've been to Ingalls Oklahoma not much there now. I heard it was the longest shootout in western history, 20 minutes. There is alot more western history around Tulsa than people realize. Thanks for the film !
ОтветитьBob Boze Bell sent me
ОтветитьIt's like watching the very first episode of Cops.
Thanks, it really is a great work of Law Enforcement circa 1880's, by the men who were actually there on both sides of the Law.
My husband is related to Bud Ledbetter!!! Very cool to find this
ОтветитьThey made a great little movie!
Ответитьim related to bud ledbetter
ОтветитьWe today aren't accustomed to the smoking of guns as there was back then.. as we are used to smokeless powder. Yes it was available then but yes.. most gunfights were a show.. or no see ums off powder smoke. We don't get this today.. unless one is a black powder or reenactment shootist.
ОтветитьOne of the actors (Roy Daugherty) had a really interesting life. He was apart of the Wild Bunch (not Butch Cassidy's, just has the same name. And the other name is just not as cool) and was captured in 1893. In 1910, he was let out on parole. He tried making it as a law-abiding citizen and ran a restaurant for two years. He grew bored of this and moved to Hollywood in hopes of becoming a movie star. He failed at that venture too. So he robbed a bank in 1917 and was captured. He was released in 1921, only to rob another bank. He kept running from the law until 1924, when he was shot and killed in a gunfight in Joplin, Missouri. He was one of the last outlaws of the wild west.
