I loved it! The knobs were perfect as it didn't take away from the piece! Would love to know what you sold it for 🤔
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤👏👏👏
ОтветитьI love it! So cute! 😊
ОтветитьI think you did this piece a huge disservice. Amateur level at best.
ОтветитьIt looks pretty. I don't care for the drawer knobs though. They're too modern. The stenciling was a cool idea. 😎
ОтветитьHave you ever considered have a soda blaster around for those spots you can’t get with scraping and sanding? I think you have an air compressor so a small soda blaster would only be like $35. If you have a powerful enough compressor they work like a charm.
ОтветитьAlso, some thing I find a little bit easier than doing a paint wash, is using a white wax over raw wood. And I apply it kind of like it to paint wash and go ahead and rub it in and then wipe it right off. And that also adds a little bit of extra protection. that’s how I prefer to do any pieces that I have that I am able to strip there, and it gives it this really bleached wood look. Then if I put a stain over the white wax, it makes it look really aged and weathered like reclaimed wood. Just don’t do this to walnut. It goes a weird purple grey color. It works best on Pine and maple. And it’s the only way I’ve found to make mahogany stay light.
ОтветитьYes, the furniture does lead the way at times! Very nice results!
ОтветитьI like what you did with a tough piece of furniture, but what about the sides of the draws?
ОтветитьI think this piece brought out your creativity! It may have taken more time and energy, but it is my favorite of all the flips you've done! It's the one I'd actually enjoy in my own home. I don't enjoy pieces that look like they came from a furniture store. It's well loved antiques with great patina or painted with charm for me ( and also the market I live in - Mid Atlantic region). Since this is your business and not a hobby, I get that you have to pivot and generate alternatives when executing plan A is no longer a wise decision. What rule says plan B or even C isn't even better! I think this project proves that point. This project also proves function can also be beautiful! Kudos for giving this old piece a new life.
ОтветитьLiked the blue color, gave it character and class. Don't care for new color or knows. Appears a bit too much like ...rental furniture.
ОтветитьBeautiful peice. Shape/style. Amazing job love the color
ОтветитьAbsolutely gorgeous!!!
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьIn Texas, spray with plain water before covering the stripper to do its work.
ОтветитьProbably bad stripper, not just tough paint.
ОтветитьI suggest using a dryish brush to dab paint on the stencil areas..keeps paint from running under edges of the design. Also it is good to use 3 colors (dark, medium, light) for the design...gives depth and interest that keeps the eye moving instead of just an unlively flatish look.
ОтветитьNOPE. Too busy. The grain, the stencil treatment is too much for all of the beautiful curves of the piece. Sorry. It's a mistake to over do a piece with such exceptional lines. Personally, I loved the traditional French Blue. I would have tried to find original wooden hardware style too. This piece is a traditional, timeless piece. Sometimes less is so much more.
ОтветитьNo! One must almost always get the old finish OFF, within reason, to get a fab result. ❤
ОтветитьVery pretty! Nice job! I would be curious if you would share links to other paint besides Lily Moon

ОтветитьI don't get this trend. I'd never buy it. But, you do good work, for people who do like it.
ОтветитьI instantly sang “ohohohohhho, the right stuff” when I read your t-shirt. 😅
ОтветитьLove this but would prefer vintage brass knobs.
ОтветитьI was not crazy about the color you chose and I didn't like the knobs you chose but it did come together better than I thought. I may have chosen a different color and different knobs but I do like the stencil on the drawers and I think I will be doing that on an old dresser I use in my main bathroom. It was a lot of work but I was impressed with how you handled it.
ОтветитьBeautiful job!
ОтветитьLove the new paint job!! It looks stunning !
ОтветитьLove it
ОтветитьNice work hard also.❤
ОтветитьLove it! Just not sure about the knobs but love the piece anyway!
ОтветитьI love what you've done it's absolutely beautiful but wondering if you can show it in a brighter light just to see the details and the colors in a different light. Thanks
ОтветитьLove it!
ОтветитьI have that very dresser. Found it in a barn of property we bought in 1984. Still in the same condition I found it. It may be time for an update.
I’ve always liked the nicks and dings and scratches. It has been in my living room since I found it. Half the veneer gone and third drawer won’t open. Never has. I’m retired now and all the kids and grands are gone.
It’s her turn.
Whew!!!! Labor INTENSIVE - and it paid off. SO beautiful! I couldn’t find what you sold it for…..I’ll bet close to $900? Thanks for your video❤️
ОтветитьI hate most furniture transformations as they just "re-paint" in some hideous grey colors and replace hardware and think it's worth $$$.. I LOVE that you were able to strip and restore the wood to its original beauty. The light, natural wood grains are beautiful. Wow, the understated template pattern roll over the drawers could have destroyed it all--but it looks amazing. I can still see the natural grain. It really elevated this very simple chest of drawers. Very nice.
ОтветитьI love it. Good for you it looks like a brand new antique! ❤️
ОтветитьIt came out beautiful
ОтветитьI might try the color on an orangy/yellow nauty pine desk. I would have stenciled the top 2 drawers, and done a more decorative floral knob to repeat the pattern/theme. Did you put a protective seal coat on top?????
ОтветитьTry a heat gun to remove paint or a blow torch
ОтветитьLOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
ОтветитьLOVE LOVE LOVE!!
ОтветитьWhat abt the sides of the drawers??
ОтветитьStunning!
ОтветитьEnjoyed the flip
ОтветитьI sure wanted to love the finished result but just could not. Especially with all the hard work you did.
ОтветитьNope luv luv luv the chipping blue, would have restrained top clear coat it done!! But I luv that chippy loo,. Your work is AMAZING !! TRUE ENJOY HOW YOU TEACH ...❤ HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE 2025 !!!!!!
ОтветитьThank God the next owner can restore this piece.
ОтветитьThis is gorgeous! You should do more wood restoration! Wow!
ОтветитьYour chair is beautiful. I bought that chair in 1976. I always loved it. I found a nice footstool to match.
ОтветитьAny guesses on what this sold for? Give it your best shot!
What was your favorite part of today's flip?
