ОтветитьI was told by my trainer it's really hard for a mom specifically to loose weight. As mothers I truly think we underestimate how stressed out we actually are. Dad's are fantastic but as mom's we put our kids problems on us harder than a father does. That doesn't make them any less of a parent. We just take it harder than they do. It's a completely normal thing women do. I had a hard time losing weight because anything that was going on in my kids life if it bothered them for a second it bothered me for weeks. Just like you said even though I was eating good and exercising I wasn't losing weight.

ОтветитьDon’t stress yourself Crystal you put an effort in eating healthier that’s all that matters. During the holidays everyone gains weight. You can do low carb desserts and just cut your portions down and don’t go back for 2nd. This is what my Mom and I do and use a small plate rather than a big plate.
ОтветитьCrystal, I've stressed so much about my weight the past 2 years. I gave birth to my second baby (born at 10lb 4 oz) in May of 2020 I put so much pressure on myself because I don't feel comfortable in my own skin. It's to the point I no longer feel comfortable naked around my husband. I'm 5 foot 2 and 167lbs but after I gave birth to my first born who weighed 9lbs at birth I immediately lost the weight and actually worked at hooters down to 120lbs. I would love to get my husband on board with family walks to have a buddy. Much love ❤️ you're doing great.

ОтветитьSame. It's hormonal... I gained 20 lbs in a month, and 50 pounds in 6 months, and ever since I can not lose weight. I'm getting back to it though.
ОтветитьI lost 156lbs starting in May 2019. I shared a lot about it on my IG as I was going through my Health and fitness journey. I was focused on my health and trying to get my body moving. The weight just started coming off. I didn't share for followers. I shared for my own memories and family that I didn't see often and wanted to see my journey. Walking every day was a big help and adding healthy food and healthy alternatives. I never looked at food as good or bad foods. I just tried to eat a lot more healthy food every day and the unhealthy foods I just didn't want as much.

ОтветитьI am having bariatic surgery on monday to take my stomach to the size of an egg. Ive been on a liquid diet now for 2 weeks to shrink my liver so the Dr. Can move it while hes in there. Now 2 days to go and i feel like i might have covid. My daughter had it this week but lives next door. And my son has the flu. I hope i dont because i will have to wait a month for surgery and redo the 2 week liquid diet over again. I feel stress coming on.... you are amazing and beautiful. Just walk and only eat fresh food.
ОтветитьCrystal - think positively - if you hadn’t been working out then you could have put on 6 or 7lbs so to only put in 2 over the holidays is great! Yes - you absolutely do find it harder to lose weight as you get older…. and then hormones makes your body shake change - euwgh - it’s awful! Stop stressing too much about 2lbs - that will come off now you know how stress affected you…. Plus life is for living - enjoy your food!

You did not fail because you tried. Sometimes we just plateau for a while for many reasons. It's hard but it's worth it. Just be consistent.

ОтветитьCrystal, I would suggest looking into Intermittent fasting. I've lost quite a bit of weight doing that and it was much easier to do than I thought it would be! I just turned 50 btw and this is the only thing that has worked for me. It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change and It's safe, effective, and very easy to do. You basically eat healthier and have a window to when you can eat. For example, eat everyday from 10am-6pm (8 hr. window) and don't eat or drink anything after that except water, unsweetened tea, or black coffee, and try not to snack at all in or out of your "window." You can have a cheat day if you need too, where you can snack or have dessert and that's considered "dirty fasting." You do not have to deprive yourself of any foods really. You just need keep track of how many carbs you're eating in a day, and there are free apps to track everything. I think you look great Crystal, but if you want to shed some weight, I would definitely recommend Intermittent fasting ❤

ОтветитьCrystal, comparing a female body to a male body is like comparing an apple to an orange. The men lose weight a lot easier than women. Also he's taller and hasn't had any babies.
You might have gained a little, but you know where you went wrong and can fix it. You can do this girl!!
Crystal-It’s all about how you feel in your body! Eat healthy, but also know that it is okay to splurge sometimes (all things in moderation). Exercise-but do it for health not weight loss. Some unsolicited advice-throw away the scale and do monthly “how do I feel in my body” check in’s. You are beautiful inside and out and it makes me so sad to see you get down on yourself after your weigh in. As someone I recovery from disordered eating, I can tell you that the best thing to do is listen to your body and judge your health by how you feel in it! Love from Michigan!!

ОтветитьCrystal, I know its hard, but you will get back on track in no time. I want to thank you for being raw and real with us on your emotions of this particular issue. I struggle with my weight, but I deal with high levels of stress constantly, and don't have the resources to hire a nutritionist at this point in my life. So being able to see that it isn't just me that struggles, helps me feel understood (I guess is the right way to put it)
ОтветитьYou made a beautiful sacrifice to bring life into the world for others as well as bringing more into your home. You could be having a longer post partum effect from your last pregnancy. My sister suffered from depression for longer periods of time, feeling sad more frequently even as her firstborn is older now. I always say, how you feel during your pregnancy is your babies personality. My niece does feel things really heavily and is prone to sadness and depression at such a young age. She cried heavily when her best friend moved away and couldn't go back to school the next day because she was overcome that she wouldn't see her cousin she spent her childhood with. But I also noticed that it is her superpower. She's an empath. She feels feelings at such a large scale. From happiness to deep sadness and even cries when she watches movies. I know that Halie feels all intense emotions of sadness too, but it probably has given her insight and compassion for struggles as well. She did mention that she can't please everyone even if she wants to and that is totally something you both can now connect on. Instead of feeling isolated and to yourself of being the perfect mother, you and Halie can use this as a bonding moment to share and remember that you both are enough. If you need to cut back on the extravagance and just connect and go back to the basics of simple love. Give yourself permission. Whatever makes you happy.

ОтветитьYes, high stress level is unfortunately affects our metabolism... It sucks, cause no matter what you do - you feel like failing and that stress you even more. Just take a break and relax. Meditate maybe? And I would also check your hormones levels, cause there also can be some kind of problem... I'm not saying it's that for sure, but it's worth to check it out :) and don't worry, Crystal, you still rock and look great! 🥰☺️
ОтветитьCrystal, please dont compare yourself with anyone on weight loss as we are all so different but ESPECIALLY do not compare yourself with a man. they just work in different ways, it will always lead to tears. Heck I only have to look at cream cake to put on weight. Food diary will help and every little thing must go in it, makes me think is this ........... worth me writing down. And yes if you dont eat enough you will store more fat from what you eat because your body goes into starvation mode not knowing when the nest good meal will come from. I need to follow my own advice and start a food diary again ;)
Ответить2lb is not a lot at all. Now that the festive period is over & you get back into your routines that weight will come off, no problem. Walking is really good for you. Clears your head & burns calories. It’s better to lose weight slowly as it’s less likely to go back on. ❤️❤️
ОтветитьCrystal it is hormones. They change as you get older and stress is a killer. Men seem to have an easier time losing weight than women. We are complex especially during that time of month. Hormones!

ОтветитьI am having the same issue Crystal. All of 2021 I focused on losing weight. Only lost 10 lbs the whole year when 5 years ago I could lose 10 lbs in 2 months. Getting older sucks man.

ОтветитьYou’re beautiful inside and out don’t worry about having too much calories just put them down Crystal you’re a nice mom of 16 kids and I know it’s stressful for Holly because she is gluten-free and she’s gonna miss her food before she was gluten-free but your mom and you know the best food that she can eat and all your other kids they’re nice and beautiful women that they’re becoming adults and someday they’re gonna leave your house and they’re gonna love you for helping them in life and dad is a mamas girl or like daddy is daddy‘s little girls some dads are attached to their girls and some boys are attached to their moms so either way your family is getting smaller and it’s getting bigger every time I’m glad that you adopt kids into your family and you give them a home and they’re gonna be happy that they have two wonderful parents Crystal you are the best mom in the world so don’t feel bad about your weight I am a little over my weight too but I have thyroid disease and it’s hard for me to lose weight so don’t worry at your age 30 years old and compare my age 36 years old you’re a lot skinnier than you thought but you keep fighting on and you’ll be a wonderful skinny woman if you keep it up just don’t eat any bread tortilla anything with bread in it throw it out and eat vegetables and carrots that’s what I’m trying to do but I can’t leave my popcorn it’s the best in the world and my bread well peace out to all the crazy pieces and crazy treasures.😌❤️❤️❤️😍💕💕👍🙏🙏👈

ОтветитьCrystal your a God fearing woman, you have to learn to give your worries over to God and not pick them back up, I worry about nothing because my theory is lay it down and leave it there, there's a song from Ray Perryman called lay it down its actually about substance abuse but it can actually be applied to anything in my opinion. ОтветитьYour metabolism gets confused when you starve yourself of a meal. I would focus on portion control. You can eat treats but just eat a small portion. Also, teach your metabolism to stay active all day by eating little things all day instead of heavy meals. Buy veggies and wash and cut up immediately put into ziplock baggies to have health snacks to grab and go! 😊
