You are not the first to equate the ride comfort of an ES to a LS.

The LS is beautiful 😍

At least there's buttons, switches, and knobs -- unlike the new BMW and Mercedes models.

Saying a car is outdated... is outdated. 😅😅😅

I don't want or need tablets all over my car. I'm cool not having touchscreens everywhere. I like the connected analog feel. My neighbor said I don't drive the IS500 since I got the IS Sportcross. 😂

I like the LS. The more I see it, the more I like it.

Well I own or have owned a couple that you mentioned. With that said I loved my LS500, and traded to an SUV. I then bought a 24 ES300h, it is not the finish level of the LS, but I do think it is fighting way above its weight class. Excellent review Kevin.

I think Lexus threw in the towel along time ago with the LS. If they want to sell more they will need to do three things: Upscale that interior alot more. Included every option as standard equipment and drop dat price.

Just a heads up for my Lexus customers. I bought the rim and tire package, hit a pothole dent my rim and they told me they would not honor it because it’s still holding air. Do yourself a favor and skip it, what a total rip off I’m pissed.

I was given an ES300h loaner when my GX was taken in for routine maintenance and I was very impressed. Really nice sedan.
Love the content, the LS is a beauty.

Ls500 will go thru the same predicament as the Ls400, 430 and 460. No one was buying them new. No one was really buying them certified pre owned. People got them when they depreciated enough to the point where value and reliability met. People noticed how well built they were. How much tech was packed into them. Ls500 will blow up when you can get them for $20k. At the point people will appreciate how great the vehicle really is.

I saw on the Internet a few days ago.. The LS500 has a new digital instrument cluster that looks so amazing. It's not the LFA one wow it looks amazing. To be honest with you in MY personal opinion.. I appreciate the route that Lexus taken via the approach of this car. 7 series and S Class have dominated this category with screens and for me it's become extremely gimmicky. LS have taken more the Bentley and Rolls Royce approach... Excellent materials, physical buttons and a plush quiet ride. That's what luxury (back to basics) is all about

Honestly, I have an LS600HL & my brother has an LS500 2022 & it’s amazing how the LS600HL out does the LS500 in comfort, quietness, interior quality, ride smoothness, sound system sounds better.
But the LS500 does handle more like a sport car, the LS600HL around corners & bends is like dog shit, though the LS500 handles very well in those situations,
The LS500 already has something in the driver door that rattles when driving while the LS600HL has zero inside rattles.
Interesting stuff honestly that it’s getting harder to find good luxury comfortable sedans, in my opinion there’s only BMW, Bentley, Rolls Royce & Mercedes that still make great luxury comfortable executive size sedans. Lexus for me is right on the edge of cancellation.

As a 2021 Lexus LS500h executive package owner. I have to say, comparing the ES to LS is like comparing a Mercedes C or E to the S class. The sophistication that you pay premium for the LS is way above The ES. To the not so sensitive consumer, they might look alike just like the E look like an S. Also, when you are comparing the ls430 to the ls500 in terms of ride quality and isolation, make sure you take into account of the tire sizes. The new LS500 mostly run on 45 series run flat tire while the LS430 mostly run on 60series regular tire. From my personal experience, the LS has now become a Porsche panorama Jag XJ competitor, it’s now a sports saloon. So comparing it with the old LS430 is kinda pointless.

If I had 80K I would not buy this, because I dont hav a house yet and I can invest the money in something else that can make me some more. I want to start my own clothing brand. Everyone can do what they want, it's your money after all. These are beautiful vehicles, I can get good use cars that look brand new for 23K from Japan. I respect everyone's choice on my they choose to buy. Great video by the way

The newer LS model is a seriously fine car, notably better than the new ES, in my opinion, but the difference in cost between the two may be discouraging people from rationalizing the purchase of an LS. I traded in my 2020 ES350 F Sport (around $52K new) for a new 2022 LS with upgraded seats, Levinson audio, etc (around $88K). By this math, my LS costed around $36K, or 70% more, but is it 70% more car(?), I'm not sure, but after a year of owning the LS, I have zero regrets about upgrading to the LS. Every time I took my ES into the dealer for service, I would go into the showroom and just gaze at whichever newer LS was on the showroom floor, and sit it in, just jaw dropping excellence, everything about it, especially the interior. The ES and LS look very similar to each other, but the driving experience is notably different, to me. I had a 2004 LS430 for a very long time, and when it came time to let go of it, I was hoping to get something very similar (but such a thing doesn't really exist anymore in the Lexus lineup, Lexus has moved in other directions). I never owned an LS460, was just never happy with the way the car felt, to me (based on test drives). The 2020 ES350, although a nice car, was not the answer I was looking for, just felt like something wasn't there, and maybe not fair to expect an ES to match my expectations of my older LS, so I upgraded to the 2022 LS, which completely blows the LS430 away (everything radically upgraded). Such a shame hardly any LS500s on the road, I rarely see any, it really is a great car, and when you compare the total cost to own (cost, insurance, repairs, maintenance), it is so much lower than most of its competitors (Audi, BMW 7 series, Mercedes S class). If you really prioritize high tech, then maybe this car isn't the greatest choice, me myself I could care less about most of that, honestly, just like to get in the 2022 LS, turn up the stereo and hit the gas! Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!

The interior is beautiful, simple, modern, luxurious. I test drove one recently and I totally agree, this is outstanding quality, luxury, and value, when compared to everything in it's class. I also agree it's perfect with just the F Sport package. I do like the basic luxury package as well for the air suspension but you are right the regular suspension is great.

Appreciate your videos Kevin. I left my 2017 Mercedes S550 and got into a 2020 Lexus LS500. I was highly dissappointed. The car was no where near as nice as my Mercedes. It was plain interior and the seats were horrible on my road trip. Beautiful vehicle and reliability like no other but it is not on level with some upper Luxury brands. Sorry just not. I have since went back to a 2020 Mercedes S560. A completely differnet ride than Lexus. Your right though; just buy ES350. Much more for your money.

RWD was critical when I bought my 18 GS new and will keep for the long haul. People don't realize on AWD GS's that it is an out procedure when repairing the typical oil leaks as they age but not on a RWD GS. Don't know if this is the case on the LS?! Tuber "The Car Care Nut" brought this to my attention when he serviced my GS. I knew that was the case when I bought the car.

I like it but japanese never change their cars quality and specification it's the same fucken 3,5 liter engine that been exist in the most Toyota and Lexus and tundra cars so is the Technical and technological specifications in a poor car compared to others this Lexus LS 500 should be like mercedes Benz s class and Maybach and bmw 7 series 760i japanese they could lose the market if they do not develop and improve the quality of their cars to keep pace with the labour market

I've been looking for a base LS500 with just AWD and sound system and not found a single one of them, looking nationwide. Most are in the low to high $90's price with many features/options I don't want. Can one order an LS? Currently driving an IS500 which is so much fun but I really need more space and the back seat is very limited with four adults in the car.

I'd rather have car. Like to have mid-size. Like this one (never drove, just based on the looks). But, the financial part is not appealing. If you have the money and won't feel the loss to purchase, excellent. However, if you are not in that position, this is a heckuva an ask (for any make) over and above the ES. I'd just be feeling that it isn't worth month blood to obtain, if it were somewhat lower in price, then it could well be a different proposition. It's getting harder and harder to find a new car when so many SUV's (and similar across brands) are all over the dealer lots/showrooms.
