As always a great video. This is one of my favorite albums of all time. I have a white label promo and the 2017 remaster that has the bonus tracks. But I think I’m finally going to pull the trigger and buy this one also. How can I not trust the review from a fellow New Englander 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьI wonder what makes a truly good hi fidelity recording .Good balance and careful engineering.
I think the mind plays tricks on the ears as newer remastered recordings all sound artificial after the fact of the original release.
As far as how you listen in any playback equipment .The values will differ.
All these analytical videos are therefore moot.
Nice review! Thanks. Great stuff! I'm going to go listen to the album again myself after watching this. Did you know that Ric doesn't sing lead on all the songs? As was normal for The Cars, Ric and Ben shared lead vocal duties on Candy-O. Ben Orr sang lead on several of the songs on the album including Let's Go, It's All I Can Do, Candy-O and You Can't Hold On Too Long. I love his voice and always liked it better than Ric's. I really hope you are able to snag a copy of their first album from Rhino like you wanted. I'd love to hear your review for it if you do!
