Wow this is truly incredible. I’m only an hour in and I’m already obsessed. Thank you for this.
ОтветитьGood god he was a racist
ОтветитьSo glad I found this channel. Well done! 💜
Ответитьis this read anywhere by someone without a british accent?
ОтветитьYou got a like right off the bat from me just for having good audio and volume...
ОтветитьWhy did you voice boris like an old man?
ОтветитьSignalis brought me here. Great narration and editing in this reading, thank you
ОтветитьMy dyslexia thanks you, and so does my fastidious attention to multilingual pronunciation.
ОтветитьI don't know who needs to hear this, but dyslexia isn't about letters morphing and prancing about the page.
It's about straining as your brain tries to intake a whole page at once, or struggling to start at the beginning (maybe reading backwards or out from the middle instead).
It's about seeing words that aren't there, spliced together from adjacent lines, or misinterpreting what's there for something that isn't.
It's about being certain on some level that "Doug Rye" is supposed to be "Rouge Dye" and thinking "kitten" is just "cat" with extra steps.
It's about reading being stressful, strenuous, and slow.
It's about not seeing the TREES for the FOREST, the opposite of that old idiom.
Someone here, listening to this audiobook, went their whole life having no idea they were dyslexic.
Don't just look for "symptoms". Look for "traits" and "quirks", different ways of seeing the world, ways to work around it or use it. It isn't a disease or a disorder, we're just wired for seeing the whole picture instead of the individual parts. Maybe you have keen spatial processing or intuition. Maybe you're good at seeing patterns in big, complex things.
Cogito Ergo Sum
ОтветитьI must have missed something major as this whole video feels like a romance novel, which I don’t usually seek for entertainment. I sought this before continuing Signalis, now I’m more confused than ever. 5/5, splendid narration
ОтветитьWho here from signalis?
ОтветитьI'm starting my first oiginal CoC7e scenario. Thank you for the recording as I do my source material research. The Yellow King is my favorite of the Cthulian baddies. I am getting very excited, thanks again.
ОтветитьRepairer of Reputations may be one pf my all time favorite short stories.
ОтветитьPoor Boris and Genevieve and the narrator. A clear case where polyamory would’ve solved their problems.
Such a horrifying ending
Girls voice is so beautiful and soft
ОтветитьI almost turned this off upon hearing that negro state and the "Indian problem '.
How TF were we the problem we lived here and white settlers thought they owned the earth and were diseased lmao
They couldn't kill us all.
They tried.
Js. Ok I know it was a different time and it's a book but fuck a whole lot of that lmao
Nuxanor brought me here.
ОтветитьAmong many reasons this is a uniquely brilliant audio capture of this dark masterpiece: the narration of Jennifer Gill. Hers may be the first voice I’ve fallen in love with by sound alone. Truly compelling.
ОтветитьAlright Signalis, fine
ОтветитьHow about the king and gray can I hear the gray king can I hear some of his stories do you think you're messing with somebody that don't know now give it to me King Gray the gray king less here what you got to say pitiful piece of crap
ОтветитьLong time fan of the HorrorBabble channel! I am almost done listening to your reading of “The King in Yellow” for the second time now, the first being a couple years ago. This channel has been a godsend to me and I just wanted to say thank you, with all sincerity. Thank you for all the time and energy you pour into this channel. You provide a constant stream of top notch content and I honestly can’t imagine a better voice to read these types of stories. Truly magnificent. Time and time again I am blown away by your renditions.
ОтветитьJust found this (2024) while searching for this book. Oh. My. Word. You have a new HUGE fan. About to listen to EVERY video you have on your channel.
ОтветитьA black star…… is what a black hole looks like but he wrote this in 1895 (shudder)
ОтветитьI have never been able to find time to read the King in Yellow but thank Heaven for HorrorBabble. Thank you for making this.
ОтветитьThe time has come to drive myself insane
ОтветитьThe battle scene in "The Street Of The First Shell" was intense. Brilliant writing by Chambers and excellent narration by Ian!
ОтветитьThe 5th story broke my heart😢 so sad...
ОтветитьThe phrase in French was so badly read that I, a native French speaker, couldn't make a word. That channel sucks
Ответить....theyre written backwards i think...
ОтветитьBlue Öyster Cult brought me here
Ответитьi really wis the female reader didnt deliver her lines like she was reading a report in front of class. She has a great voice and with some more time and practice im sure she'll become a great narrator
ОтветитьThose ears though ...
ОтветитьIf this was written 1895 how is he referring to WWII?
ОтветитьThis is too good. We don't deserve this
Ответитьwho is here after FROM season3 episode 10???
Ответить
