You have to respect Dr Ally's honesty. Admitting your prophet's revelations actually came from Satan takes balls

Muhammad never believed in any god. He just wanted to project himself as prophet of god. For fifteen years he prayed to yeh-weh god of jews and prayed towards Jerusalem calling kaba masjid ul haram. There wasn't any al-aqsa musjid at Jerusalem. When he didn't get support of meccans he changed the god from yeh-weh to allah along with his three daughters. When jews mocked him he said it is satan who did this. Then he abolished three daughters of Allah claiming Allah is the only god.

Well, at least it is nice to see that some are trying to actually exercise a bit of introspection. " A life not inspected is a life not worth living!" That is a statement better than all religions, books, bibles and qurans.

I really enjoyed this guy struggling with this. It is an honest struggle. I truly respect that. Hopefully these struggles will lead him to have enough confidence in his own wisdom to actually back himself.

First, the claim that the story doesn’t originate from “the most authentic sources” overlooks the fact that the "Satanic Verses" narrative is extensively documented in Islam’s earliest biographical and exegetical traditions, including the works of Al-Tabari, Ibn Sa’d, Al-Waqidi, and others. These sources, while not part of the canonical hadith collections like Sahih Bukhari or Sahih Muslim, represent some of the earliest records of Islamic history and provide rich context for Muhammad’s life and revelations. To dismiss them wholesale as unreliable risks ignoring a substantial body of evidence central to understanding early Islamic history.
Second, Dr. Shabir references John Burton's theory, which posits that Muslims fabricated or embraced the "Satanic Verses" story to explain Quranic concepts like abrogation or obscure verses. This hypothesis is speculative and lacks historical corroboration. It fails to account for the critical principle of embarrassment in historiography: the idea that narratives casting a founder or revered figure in a negative light are unlikely to be invented by their own followers. The "Satanic Verses" story paints Muhammad as momentarily influenced by Satan—a deeply compromising portrayal that undermines his prophetic reliability. It is implausible that early Muslims would fabricate such an account, given its potential to harm the Prophet’s credibility.
Moreover, Dr. Shabir’s dismissal of the narrative based on the argument that it’s incompatible with the Prophet’s pristine monotheism oversimplifies the historical context. Early Islamic sources indicate that Muhammad faced significant resistance from the Quraysh tribe, which adhered to polytheism. The compromise represented by the "Satanic Verses" aligns with a plausible attempt to reconcile this opposition. When Gabriel later allegedly corrected him, it allowed Muhammad to return to his strict monotheistic stance. This sequence of events, while problematic theologically, is historically coherent within the context of his efforts to consolidate his religious authority.
Additionally, Dr. Shabir’s interpretation of Quran 22:52, which refers to Satan interfering with the recitation of prophets, deserves scrutiny. The verse directly acknowledges the possibility of satanic influence, and early Islamic commentators linked it to the "Satanic Verses" incident. While later Islamic scholars reinterpreted this verse to distance it from such implications, the original connection to the incident cannot be dismissed without substantive evidence.
Finally, the notion that Muhammad’s alleged lapse would have undermined his credibility is speculative. Religious leaders throughout history have faced challenges to their authority, and moments of perceived fallibility have not necessarily discredited them among their followers. Instead, narratives of repentance or correction often reinforce their human relatability and divine guidance. The correction by Gabriel, as presented in the story, could have been framed as evidence of divine vigilance and the ultimate sanctity of the Quran.
In summary, Dr. Shabir’s dismissal of the "Satanic Verses" story underestimates its historical basis, relies on speculative theories, and fails to account for the principle of embarrassment or the sociopolitical context of Muhammad’s early ministry. While his theological motivations are clear, they do not provide a robust refutation of the historical plausibility of this controversial episode.

A story about 3 formal mekka idols, adopted and then disavowed by Muhammad. To disavow them, they were called satanic - the female idols and the verses Muhammad made them part of due worship. From the former mekka religiousness, the black rock (which inspired the rotschilds?) Is to this day, kept in the caaba

This incident of reciting satanic verses by Prophet Mohammad is mentiond in all authentic Islamic history books like Islamic history by Ibn-Khuldoon and Al-Tabari, They have mentioned those 2-3 Aayats in their original arabic form in their books. The fact should not be ignored that these two are considerd most authentic historian by Islamic world. Although as Mr.Shabbir Ali claimed that the incident is not mentioned in any authenitic Hadith book like Al-Bukhari, this should be kept in mind that Al-Bukhari rejected more than 692000 hadiths and had given a place to some 7200-300 hadiths in his book, who knows that this incident would had gone under his eye but he had not given a place in the book "Sahih Al-Bukhari" (Deliberately...!!!) who knows? (Because these verses are kind of disfiguring/distorting monothiasm). Who knows that this kind of incident of Satan inducing verses in prophets mind happened only this single time or happened many times...!!!

Allah of true is actually brahman of hinduism and 3 daughters of allah are actually the 3 godesses of hinduism like saraswati, lakshmi and parvati. Even their qualties are similar. So from a hindu perspective islam is indeed a corrupted almost opposite version of hinduism apart from some common things. like taking anti-clockwise rounds of idol whereas in hinduism its clockwise

the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 7:15–20), Jesus warns his followers of false prophets: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles?. As i write this, i ask with respect: Islam has been a religion of war and arms since its inception. Its also heavily relying on the truth of gospel, so am i so wrong for only believing in the gospel?

I don't believe this story because even Allah said the prophet Muhammad did not say anything but that it was from Him Allah so how was shaytan able to throw something in his recitation. Who would you believe Allah or some purported story concocted by some people who cannot validate this story. The Quran is pure free from evil influences. This story is weak and I don't think it has a basis in Islam
