NEVER I repeat NEVER pour boiling water on a cold windshield, it could shatter it. instead use warm water out of the tap works just as well.

Why don’t you use a little bit of windshield washer fluid and defrosted it just as good and less chance of cracking your window, causing problems down the line

The hot water is legit, the exhaust gas took longer than just waiting for your car to warm up, and the flame thrower, while cool, is so very impractical. Just buy a scraper or the deicing fluid readily available anywhere auto parts/accessories are sold.

Cheap and easy way to clear car windows. No1 Start engine. Put car heater temp on full but Blower on LOW and ensure its blowing on screen. Get 2ltr pop bottle and make a nice circular hole in the cap to produce a nice stream of water, don't cut a cross or slot. Fill with luke warm water then squirt along top of screen moving from side to side letting the water gently run down the screen, once cleared put wipers on low and leave them to wipe the screen dry, by now you will be getting some nice warm air on the inside too, 👍
