very useful because i like a clean car lol
ОтветитьYou just destroyed my car...
ОтветитьI will never put my Tesla through a car wash! Geez!
ОтветитьThe rims underneath the aero wheel covers are sweet. Just get some Tesla lug nut and center caps and you are good to go. Maybe even have the calipers painted red?
ОтветитьVery helpful!
ОтветитьTesla, PLEASE MAKE A CAR WASH MODE on the screen!!!!
ОтветитьThese are just tips of how to not be an idiot.
ОтветитьHave you noticed lots of swirl marks from going to a non-touch less car wash? Have you washed it this way many times during your ownership? Any issue treating the Tesla like any other car? Seems like the paint is wimpy
ОтветитьGreat info...Thanks guys
ОтветитьHow about the charger port does it open when its being washed by those rugs spins or pass through?
ОтветитьHi, what about brake hold, do you have to turn it off?
ОтветитьTesla should develop a "car wash" mode
Ответить1) Neutral (hold lightly up on stalk)
2) Turn off wipers
3) Fold mirrors
4) Remove hubcaps (optional)
5) Use “tow mode”
6) Like and subscribe :)
I just got my 2021 Model 3 and I’m about to go through the wash for the first time. Thanks for the tips!
If you still feel you need to take your car through a car wash, regardless of "all kinds of People," at least use a touchless wash. While it still won't clean your car to the level a pro detailer would, it at least won't scratch your paint as demonstrated by the brushes in the video. Those brushes will prematurely age your paint and put noticeable scratches into the clear coat that will eventually wear down the protection your clearcoat provides. If you're keeping your car even longer than 2 years and at least want it to look clean but don't want to go through the effort of doing it correctly, a touchless wash is a better option.
Ответить10 degrees outside I am not going to hand wash my car
ОтветитьAfter watching this video, I feel like Tesla should add a Carwash Mode feature where the cars mirrors close, automatic wipers turn off, and car gets into neutral mode.
ОтветитьExcellent video, but make it half as many minutes. I
had to wait a full minute before I got the first tip!
Don’t take any car to a car wash.
ОтветитьI read on a Tesla forum that you had to go to a touch free car wash. I see in your video that you went to a car wash with the brush.
Ответить#1 just don't unless you have your entire car wrapped in PPF.
ОтветитьWhy can’t Tesla add a ‘Car Wash’ mode on the screen so all that is required is done automatically?
ОтветитьThis may be a stupid question, but is the chargeport locked when the car is in neutral?
We are taking delivery of a M3SR+ next month :)
I'm glad to see more people driving Tesla's around and actually treating them like a car and not an iPad. I been going to a car wash for years now and glad I chose the brand I did since the attendant showed me how to put it in neutral in the first place! (Go Car Wash for those wondering, used to be Bee Clean)
ОтветитьI hand washed my Tesla in the time it took to go through all these steps
Ответить좋은 정보 감사 드립니다!
ОтветитьTesla’s have carwash mode now. Remember Tesla’s upgrades are done like magic while ya sleep.
Ответить😊 thanks
ОтветитьIs it still fine for an electric car to go for an Automatic Car Wash ride?
ОтветитьWatching this today and Tesla now has a feature for car wash and it is simply a button to press and it will do everything for you when you drive into car wash
ОтветитьI have car wash mode dose that work
ОтветитьI am a car enthusiast and will only hand wash my 2022 Model 3 Performance. I understand how damaging automatic car washers are. With that said, videos like this are still helpful because many people look at cars as tools to get them from point A to point B. They don't care or mind if there are small scratches and in most cases, they would probably not even notice as they are not "Into" cars the way someone like me would be.
Videos like this are very helpful to people who just want to drive a car around and enjoy it in their own way.
Luckily there is now a "Car Wash" mode that takes care of all these steps for you. I am not 100% sure if you still need to put it in "towing mode" as I don't know how long the car would stay in neutral so if anyone can confirm this, I would appreciate it. I can always pass on good information to others.
The software has been updated since this video was made. Turning your wipers off is slightly different now.
But seriously it is WAY more important to know HOW your car functions. If you are going to buy a tesla LEARN how to use it!
Honestly it looks better without the hubcap
ОтветитьHi, Just watched this video before taking my Tesla to car wash. Mine has a car wash mode.... can I just use that????
ОтветитьTell me they have a "Car Wash" Mode now?
ОтветитьGuy on the right (your left), what sunglasses are those? This question is important. :)
ОтветитьTook delivery of a 22 Model 3. Read that car washes sometimes decolorizes the black trim. Have you heard or noticed this? I have ceramic coated the paint and waxed it myself like my other cars and have never had an issue with scratches etc. Not really concerned with that for this car either, just want her clean.
ОтветитьTesla should make it's own car wash services...🤩
ОтветитьI ain’t taking my aero wheels off for a car wash or folding my mirrors. That makes no sense. Only thing I’m taking from this video is the Neutral instructions besides that this video was no Bueno.
ОтветитьSo another words, it is a pain in the Butt to do car washes with a Tesla. I would find a auto car wash where you don't have to get out of the car. Removing hub caps seems to be a pain in the Butt also.
Anyway, thanks for the video.
Great video! I’m taking my new M3 in for its first car wash today. Count me in as your newest subscriber.
ОтветитьVery helpful 👌 thanks
Ответить5 Tips:
1. Do
2. Not
3. Take
4. Tesla
5. There
Ever hear about “Wash Mode?”
That does everything (except aero wheel covers) you mention with one tap.
Dear god why take a Tesla through those horrible things =/
ОтветитьWhy couldn't they just install a hand brake
Ответитьyou guys should try touchless car washes. I have seen the swirl marks on darker model teslas leftover from those high speed brushes, they are pretty horrific
ОтветитьBefore you say "You should hand wash a Tesla" keep in mind as Tesla's become more and more popular these vehicles will be driven by ALL kinds of people. Busy people. People who don't really care about their car's paint 10 years down the line. This video is made for those people :) It's a car... and the reality is that many people will take their Tesla to the car wash so this is the top 5 tips you should know!
