So funny how some people call it "476CE" instead of "476AD". Either way, you're still using the Gregorian calendar which was developed by the Catholic Church. Enjoy!

The period was not dark. During this period Christianity was supreme, and usury was banned, and the multiplicity of principalities that would later form the basis of individual European nations were established. Of course the feudal system was harsh, but warriors and merchants from any part of society had a chance to establish themselves.

But Christianity came from Rome.... I think that the whole Mythology that there was this guy JEsus and he was just so great that everyone just wanted to follow him. But it is more complicated than that. It is really just ROME again.. that is why the ROMAN Catholic Church had such an influence on the world after the Pagan rome fell..

It's BC & AD For Before Christ & After Death
The Catholic Church invented the modern calendar we use today. We should continue to use their terminologies. Especially since the before and after dates are the same coinciding with Jesus Christ's death.
This wouldn't even be a debate if we were using a Muslim or Chinese calendar

Am I the only one who thinks the “Common era” CE and BCE designation as opposed to Ad and BC is absolutely ridiculous? Especially in a video explaining the significance of Jesus of Nazareth to Westen Civilization? Virtue signaling bullshit. Lol

Dark Ages is not a good title because there was nothing dark about the era. Middle Ages is a better title. This is the period between the Fall of the Rome and the Renaissance.

1,260 years of no Bible in the common language 538-1798 AD b/c of Rome and Government.
Reformers found the Bible and shared it and published it in the common language which high lighted the lies (to gain money) that the church had been telling the people, generation after generation. The reformers where hunted down, burned at the stake, so we could have the bible today. They are doing the same today with the numerous versions of the bible. Granted translation was not inspired, but the Textus Rectus KJV is most accurate, other versions can be used along with this to gain insight, but much is missing from the other versions. Study the origin of the written bible for yourself to find the information I am stating. Reformers: Waldenses, John Wycliffe, Martin Luther, Huss, Jerome, Zwingli. It has never been popular to be a true christian.

The dark ages is before the white supremacy dominance, once the Spanish Europeans was able to challenge the dark people and defeat the Moors in Granada Spain 1492 ;and 1492 is when the now a day school curriculum starts with Columbus who sailed from granada 1492,,,no coincidence, the Pequot war has been ripped from the page of history, but the battle is not lost , they took them from America to Bermuda because we couldn't be controlled

As an insurance broker, most standard carriers will NOT insure homes w/ knob-&-tube, fuse boxes, galvanized steel-plumbing or roofs over 20-years (this latter w/o inspection clearing it). After the insurance-inspection (when buyers already own the home), all these can issues can be flagged, along with/ overhanging tree limbs. Policies have been flagged for cancellation for any and all these.

Get a good insurance broker too.

This is absolutely fascinating and informative. All I would kindly ask is if it is possible to refrain from using images/depiction of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) it is offensive to Muslims to show images of him.

First of all .. the "dark ages" started with the fall of the Roman Empire in the west. The Renaissance began when Mohammedans took Constantinople and the west including Iberian peninsula. So called Muslim invasion did not cause Europes "dark ages". In fact the opposite. Watch the documentary "When Moors ruled Europe". Do the "al gebra"...

Agree with twest344 below. The time frame referred as the dark ages is well deserve, specially when everyone was fighting everyone at the same time, no time to become enlightened or worry about anything besides saving your own life, literally. The Middle Ages develops as kingdoms become population centers attached by geopolitical forces and spheres of influences. These dark ages served as the transition between the fall of Rome and the early Middle Ages itself. Not a very pretty intelectual time per se for the western world.

The dark age is call Kali yuga. In according Vedanta philosophy there are four ages: satya yuga, tetra yuga, dvapara yuga and kali yuga. The best age is satya yuga, where all living being are very advance in spiritual knowledge. tetra yuga and dvapara yuga also there is good undestanding of spiritual knowledge. But in kali yuga in the age of quarell and discord, ignorance is very prominent. Nobody know who we are and what is the meaning of life. In kali yuga the life is very short and people are always distributed. mentally and physically. Study the Veda for better understanding.
