The Court Jester!
ОтветитьDanny Kaye was hilarious in this video!
ОтветитьDanny Kaye was great at funny voices. Was a bit of a wasted opportunity.
Ответить"Are You a Knight?" YES!!!!! He WAS knighted!.......................many years later in 1983 by Queen Margrethe II of Denmark! How's that for irony?
ОтветитьHe was actually referring to his role in "Court Jester" when he was "knighted" but they cheated to speed up the process so he could joust and die. How's THAT for irony. Hence the "uh-huh" when she asked "Are you a cheating knight?" xD
ОтветитьDidn't Kay and Laurence Olivier swap out the high hard one with each other for ten years .
ОтветитьDanny Kaye is one of the supreme entertainers of all - all Film and TV time. A genuine human heart.
ОтветитьIt doesn't matter. I loved his work, and always will. It just surprised me, that's all. Doesn't change my feelings in any way.
ОтветитьHe was awesome
ОтветитьI remember reading somewhere a long time ago a review about "Tony Curtis' autobiography, and they were interviewing Tony about his book, and in the book he stated that "Danny Kaye was a mean and nasty person and wouldn't help anyone". Was this true? Danny Kaye has kept our family laughing for generations.
ОтветитьYes , you are so right.
ОтветитьDanny had his dark times. This is when he was unreachable. He struggled, but he was a beautiful and admirable man that reached out and helped many a person. That is what we remember.
ОтветитьThanks Rusty. You would like to have good memories of these old movie stars, but sometimes you might read about the not so good stuff. Wasn't Danny Kaye hilarious, my beautiful Dad used to have tears rolling down his eyes from laughter. Bye.
ОтветитьWhat a liar! He wasn't knighted (by the Queen of Denmark, by the way) until 1983!
ОтветитьBack when live television wasn't a novelty
ОтветитьA cheating knight he is alright! I love Danny Kaye!
ОтветитьWhat year is this appearance? I want to see the complete 1963 appearance, the one where Johnny Carson is on the panel. Someone else has it uploaded but parts of it are missing.
Btw, FUCK Google Plus for neutering the commenting system on here. No more flagging spam robots.
liar liar pants on fire. No mas pantalones.
ОтветитьI had the biggest crush on this man!
ОтветитьWell, at least he made it a challenge!! Lol. He knew if they heard him speak, they'd get it right away.
ОтветитьStupendo!
ОтветитьDanny Kaye doesn't need to be talking to be a comical genius. He just needs to BE. :D lol
ОтветитьKilgallen was a druggie. Ugly, too.
ОтветитьWow. I miss this era. No one can compare today.
ОтветитьI love the reaction when he starts talking.
Ответитьwhen actors were actors and deserved the respect..
ОтветитьI grew up with the soundtrack (LP version) from "Hans Christian Anderson" with some Sylvia-Fine-arranged songs on the flipside. I have always loved his acting, comedy-ing, and overall personality.
Ответить"We all are very fond of Danny..."
Me: 😭😭😭 I love you, Danny Kaye!
He had a huge range of comedy voices - he could have used one of them!
ОтветитьHe was a queen, not a knight.
ОтветитьDanny Kaye, always so funny. I miss old Hollywood
ОтветитьTony Randall has the dorkiest laugh ever and i love it!
ОтветитьCourt Jester is one of the funniest movies ever. Go figure, it didn't do well when it came out.
ОтветитьDavid Daniel Kaminsky
ОтветитьI also had the biggest crush on Danny Kaye ....it was HUGE ....LOVE THIS MAN
ОтветитьSuch classy fun... they don't make 'em like that anymore
ОтветитьMiss him
ОтветитьDanny Kaye is so annoying here
ОтветитьTony has a goofy laugh
ОтветитьMr. Randall is directly related to Jeff Bezos AHAHAHAHAHAHAAA
ОтветитьDorthy was a brilliant woman who died while investigating the JFK assasination.
ОтветитьDanny Kaye is the best!
Funniest yet!
What's so amazing about Danny, is that he's so timeless! His amazing comedic timing is not just stuck in the past. He has the ability to reach people of all ages! I'm 19 years old, and I'm a huge Danny Kaye fan! I've been a fan of his for about 9-10 months, but I've seen a plethora of his movies. He's so amazing in every comedic role he's played (my favorite being "The Court Jester"), and every dramatic role (my favorite, "The Five Pennies"), every balance of both, and an amazing man! He is truly missed, but he certainly lives on in our hearts.❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьThe Vessel with the pestle has the pellet with the poison The Chalice from the palace has the brew that is true
ОтветитьWhat an amazing talent!
ОтветитьHarpo played Hamlet?
ОтветитьDanny Kaye wasn't liked by people he worked with.
Entertainment Weekly DECEMBER 16, 1994
"Harvey Korman, who was a cast member of Kaye’s variety show told me the nightmare of working with Kaye. Whenever Korman scored a big laugh during the dress rehearsals, Kaye ensured that he stepped on Korman’s lines during the taped performance.
Korman told me how Kaye cut down Madeline Kahn’s role on Broadway with him in Richard Rodgers’ Two by Two when she outshone Kaye.
Bob Easton, who also was a regular on the variety series called Kaye a monster. He said he was cold, aloof, vindictive and an egomaniac.
I heard similar stories from Rosemary Clooney, producer Bob Finkel, comedy writers Hal Kanter and Rocky Kalish, television director Norman Abbott and others. The horror stories were always the same
😂ESCARGENCY 😂❤
ОтветитьVirginia Mayo has said that Danny can get cold at times.
ОтветитьHe was brilliant in the five pennies
