Deviation for Weather-How to Communicate with ATC

Quick question. I'm a little unsure. Are you still under VFR flight following when you ask for wx deviation? Does VFR flight following not allow for these deviations without permission?

Can you react to this:
“N23MZ, remain outside of Class B airspace”
“N23MZ, remain clear of Class B airspace”
“N23MZ, cleared into the Class B airspace.”

Had to deviate for weather last week. ATC helped me through it the whole time while on flight following. Everything worked out and I had Jason in my head "you never have to be anywhere in aviation." Stay safe out there ya'll.

Just had the same situation the other day. ATC was more than happy to give me a deviation as required, and they also requested a few reports on ceiling and visibility, which I was happy to pass on.

Nothing better than taking the kids out flying.
