I scaled the rooftop of the prison and walked the barbed to get in a base and they had nothing and I broke my leg

it always seemed funny to me the amount of explosives it takes to blow a simple wooden gate, while you could just use a hacksaw to cut the lock, irl

What does anyone know about using fire places to scale walls? The last few times I've been raided there are fireplaces everywhere and someone told me people can climb these and get right into your base? Is this true?

What’s the point of a hacksaw if not to cut a 4 dial lock!?? I can brute force a 3 dial with a macro but why can’t I lop off a 4 dial with a hacksaw??

Unless you're at the base like all the time, you've just built a giant target and it's only a matter of time. There is no such thing as a safe base in dayz

A couple of improvised stick shelters and a barrel or woodencrate out in some forest built on top of a couple of chopped down bushy christmas trees and shrubbery is how I dont get easily raided.

Day z needs a overhaul in redesigning the build mechanic its long overdue . .rust the forest got much better mechanics . Sadly 😥

@FreshSpawns my way of keeping people out of my base is building so many walls that its not worth raiding lol. I once built a base with at least 26 gates just to get to the loot room. 😅😂

My honest opinion? After 7k hours of official Dayz, building a base to stash gear is incredibly stupid.
Defending your base is too hard, and raiding it is too easy. This must be balanced to bring life back to official.

Add some flash bangs in there for some more fun

Ok so am a noob probz about 40 hrs now was doing my first raid LAST NIGHT! couldnt find nothing explosive exceot gas canisters i must have put about 6 big ones down together then blew it........its worked

Raided bases with most of these methods but idea I came up with to defend was double watchtower one then another 180 degrees the opposite way to completely enclosed the roof aspect and then place a fence inside the watchtower and another staggered to the left or right and double camo net internally. The watchtowers completely dark you can stand with your scope through it as if there’s no nets and nobody can see you even in full sun.

You guys are for sure one of if not the best creators of you guys made guides for complete dummies it would be amazing especially like how to build a base if you don’t have friends to help thanks for the videos just bought the game 2-3 weeks ago you two make it look so easy. I’m no pro but consider myself a decent gamer and this has the steepest learning curve I’ve ever seen. Teach idiots like me your ways way more broken down especially on console it’s way harder to use interfaces than pc I wish I had it on pc but I don’t have a good pc to play it

I'm a solo player an I've never built a base :( 660hrs an I haven't been able to. I just nomad around instead of making one. I'll set traps up whenever I'm visiting somewhere an will usually have loot traps set out if I'm hunting
