It's great to see active living history alive and well.
ОтветитьAny and all these historic streetcar lines that also act as day to day mass transit should keep tabs on modern LRT systems retiring their original fleets from the 1970s and 80s. About half of San Diego's original fleet of 71 cars is still on the property and Los Angeles may have retired its original 54 Blue Line cars by now.

ОтветитьI like it when you snow the map/network/route of the Tram, Metro, Train, etc.
Keep up the good work!
Trams?? That word is used by Brits and Aussies. The correct term is STREETCAR. You use it on the title and the opening scenes which depict "Metro Streetcar".
ОтветитьThe Little Rock streetcar has two loops that funnel down over the river! The cars are actually rplicas, which I find neat!
Ответитьexcellent video!
ОтветитьWow! Well done. It is great seeing operating heritage tram lines in action. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьI filmed a full ride on this system in June of last year. I will post it soon.
ОтветитьToo bad you didn’t encounter the banjo playing “ Gerald the Trolly Car Guy”.
ОтветитьI just love conventional streetcars !
ОтветитьIts called Tram not streetcar and I guess you should take for your town, something more contemporary from 21th century like these in Los Angelis and Las Vegas!!!
Honestly if they did some major expansions and gave it a modern car it would be great
ОтветитьVery cool! I came looking for this video because I work at the company that makes the electronics for these! I've repaired and tested dozens of the motor drives that make the trolley move, but I've never actually seen what they go into. We designed and built them custom for the trolley company starting back in 2001 when they decided they wanted to replace the original electronics from the late 1800s. The electric motors in them are still the originals though. Maybe I'll make it down there to take a ride on them some day.
ОтветитьI would love it if they extended it to the Amtrak station.
