Ron, thank you for doing this video showing the difference between the P5000D pad and the step 2 polishing compound. I am using the same compound, with good results but can't wait until my P5000D pads come in October to get even better results! Glad you 'did' like the Step 2 compound....

Amazing video illustrating the effects of traditional polish vs Higher grit pads! Will definitely share this to my bowling discussion friends as a discussion point and potentially education tool. I'm curious though, will an old worn out 3000-4000 Abralon pad with water on the spinner be able to achieve a 5000 grit or high on a bowling ball?

Ron my favorite ball is the gb2 phenom pearl that comes 500/1000 with powerhouse polish,if I did the 3000 then p5000d the ball will have more aggressive move on back end than factory finish?

well ill tell you this. I have experience in buffing and painting cars and I run my own pro shop. both compound and sanding do the same thing. you saying compound or polish is on the ball is bad is irrelevant you take polish off and compound you should not have any trace of that material just like taking the sandpaper off the ball, you don't leave the sandpaper on the ball when you throw it. Least i hope not. Good video though just next time after you polish or compound the ball with what ever grit, then just take cleaner to it after instead of just wiping it off with a rag.

I have a Storm Marvel Pearl, and I noticed whenever I shine the bowling ball with storms shining compound the ball just seems to go lazy. I get a shiny ball but its not as tacky as it was before shine. I actually only polish now my weeker balls/spare balls. But I miss having a shiny marvel pearl. would moving up from a base 1500 grit to say a 3000 or even 4000 grit marvel improve overall strength?

So if I'm using a ball that has a 1500 grit from factory and  require polish will the P5000D cover that surface

I would love to try these. But 15 bucks for delivery to Denmark (for the 6 pack) is a little steep(but acceptable) plus the price would add an import fee and it would end up costing me a total of 67 dollars for 6 pads. Are there no European sellers?

I gave this video a Thumbs down for the simple fact that if you watch and pay attention to the video and notice that the blue ball that they bring out from the ball spinner has no thumb slug in it.. and the blue ball that was shown after Ronald threw it down the lane had a white thumb slug .. please be honest with reviews..

If I just bought a Storm - Optimus (used) when I get my ball plugged and re-drilled would you recommend a resurface? I'm unsure of how to verify it is necessary.

This is awesome no argument but before you run out and sand all of your shiners to 5000 understand that polish still has its place in your bag and you will need to experiment to find out for sure what you should finish each ball with.

I just used the 1500 Ttu Cut and my ball is dull now. If I use the P5000d will it shine it up and keep the 1500 grit on my ball?

Okay, @ Ronald Hickland Jr, so what if you have a pearl ball that is at 1500 grit? How would i use one of your pads to polish or keep it at a shiny cover stock? Also, where can i find your products?

Ron enjoy your videos and have purchased your products. You talk about the carrier in the compound polish impeding the performance but couldn't you just use a cleaner after the polish is applied.

Ronald and Dustin......one thing this video did not show is when you brought the ball back in to put the compound on it; it did not show whether you sanded the ball back down before using the compound. So did you put the compound over the P5000D or sand it back down to a lower grit first?

I just got a roto grip hyped and love the out of box finish and it has a ton of back end. I'm just wondering what you would recommend to keep the look and tacky feel but also have to ball more controlled on the backend, if that makes sense?!
