ОтветитьIt sucks when your school has you watch this for an assignment and theirs a handful of ads disrupting my thinking.
ОтветитьCan someone get ahold of me
ОтветитьAnyone else got Social Health and Wellness 💀..
ОтветитьThank you for your advice!
ОтветитьThis is was great. Unfortunately today empathy is even harder to find
ОтветитьAmazing speech Allahu Akbar!!!! God bless you! ⚔️🤍❄️🕋❄️🤍⚔️
ОтветитьWe can’t fix it, there just isn’t a high enough ratio of humans who have the capability. Most really do only care about themselves, they only give real support to another person when they think they’ll receive a large enough reward or benefit . That’s why so few are supportive of their own family members, partners, friends, neighbors, etc (people in their own circles who they don’t favor)
It’s rare got a human to have genuine empathy.
Great, just perfect, you made your case and used the art of persuasion perfectly. From the narratives to the humor, perfect.
ОтветитьI am highly empathetic.
ОтветитьI live in Marin County and let me assure you… these people were “empathy-signaling” more than they were reflecting how they live their lives!
ОтветитьThe higher the empathy the higher the development level for a society.
ОтветитьEmpathy is good but it is also draining.
ОтветитьWowww soo coool 😜😜😜😜😜👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьInspiring talk. I wish there were more views to make us more empathetic people, more empathetic communities and to make the world a kinder place.
ОтветитьEmpathy is humanity, lately due to extreme stress and anxiety I had changed from being very empathetic and compassionate to an emotionally numb person and I started fearing that I was someone who has ASPD because of my lack of empathy. Once I took the time to learn that empathy can take the backseat because of mental disorders such as anxiety and OCD I knew I had to get rid of my stressors and exercise and eat healthy and stuff but my empathy was not yet to come back though my anxiety and ocd had reduced greatly making my fear of having ASPD more concrete. This video gives me hope and determination.
ОтветитьCool, how? How do I practice it? How do I get better? What do I look for?
ОтветитьEmpathy is good...but we need to learn balance this.
ОтветитьEh? It's widely known management positions are full of bullies and narcissistic traited people. That's the opposite of empathy.
Ответить... Liars ... Most of em...
Feeling for people less fortunate than them... And most people raising.
Yet, when they see a homeless person:
NOT IN MY NEIGHBOURHOOD, PLEASE GET RID OF THEM!
this is really hard for people who are really empathic and live in a third world country in a town full of pain on the streets. you try to help but there's just too many and too little you
ОтветитьHow to make money with buzzwords and phrases. 101.
ОтветитьThe word you are looking for is “jibes”, not “jives”. What an annoying man.
ОтветитьHe uses “emotional labor” totally wrong.
ОтветитьPeruvians “value family.” Amazing. No other nationality cares about family. None.
ОтветитьI think we have less empathy largely because are struggles have gotten larger. Stagnant wages, lack of affordable housing, and overpriced healthcare have all be a problem in this country and it’s getting worse.
ОтветитьThis was excellent. I was so happy to hear that people can be taught. I hope the skills are being taught everywhere.
ОтветитьThe name is a bit misleading. I had an impression this is a talk about how to manipulate empathy of other people to get them do what you want. Got outraged, read the comments and figured it should be not that. The talk is pretty nice
ОтветитьProfound. Thank you Jamil.
Ответитьc bon je te donne rdv a l'iut de saint Denis a 15h je vais te régler ton compte conard t'as pourris mon cours
ОтветитьThat is a BIG Lie. The student who scored second highest in Pakistan would end up on the streets.
Is everyone in Pakistan who did not score the highest on the streets? There is no empathy or sense of family in Pakistan? And you call yourself a psychologist who is studying empathy?
Taking time to get to know how another feels, why they feel the way they do, and what they are feeling; life changing for not only us, not only another, but for anyone that benefits may help others to change for the better as well, whether it is realized or not.
ОтветитьSometimes I wish I could turn it off... Sometimes I cry all day when I watch TV.
ОтветитьEmpathy is a skill and it’s a light cast into the darkness engulfing the world so it’s hard to keep it burning but we can get better at it cause it’s a skill afterall
ОтветитьEmpathy is a skill and it’s a light cast into the darkness engulfing the world so it’s hard to keep it burning but we can get better at it cause it’s a skill afterall
ОтветитьPeople saying they do empathetic things is hardly an indication that they do them.
ОтветитьI have high empathy ... he keeps saying empathic theres a difference theres the feeling and knowing and taking on someones emotions in a public space and coming home and not knowing why your depressed or angry....when it comes to empathy it's feeling compassion for someone else situationtional pain and sufferinh....I should be giving this TED TALK
ОтветитьOne of the best TED talks that I have came across ❤️❤️
ОтветитьAbsolutely loved this episode. I seem to learn more about this every day. I’m a proof it’s a skill. I’m a breaking a mold in my family
Ответитьim looking for ways to stop feeling empathy
Ответить<3
Ответитьthanks for giving me hope that empathy is a skill so that i can one day have that skill thanks for empathising with the non-empathetic ppl who wants to learn to empathise but keep receiving voices that one has to be born empathetic to know how to emphasise thanks for the amazing speech that made me feel that i am not that terrible a person after all and i can overcome this value that i lack which made me hate myself so much
ОтветитьShow me some empathy for not having empathy, ykwis.
ОтветитьAre we confusing empathy with sympathy?
ОтветитьThis video made me cry. And i'm at work!
Ответить❤ ❤
ОтветитьThank you. I am working on an empathy training workshop focused on bringing joy and balance into one's life.
ОтветитьThe mic was so distracting
ОтветитьIs there a list of resources used, or cited?
