I just want to know how to manage the contacts, it seems when i delete a contact from my phone it is not removed from my google contacts and vice versa, like the sync is not working or only work from one to the other?

Will the iPhone sharing automatically update to gmail, so if I add a new contact it will link the contact to gmail, if i delete in either application does it remove in both

Ye hey its very very helpful now its time to use an android phone....

My iPhone wasn’t quite the same as your instructions. In the first method, when you went to the tab “mail, contact and calendar” that’s where my iPhone is different. My mail, contacts and calendar are all on a different tab. Not so important, but what the difficulty I had was that I didn’t not have the options you had on your screen. The only option it allowed me to grant access was Siri and search. Is there any other advice you have for me. I do have contacts synced from my gmail account that were from a few years ago, but none that were accumulated since then. For instance when I recently synced my new iPad to my gmail account only a fraction of my contacts showed up on the iPad. That is because the new contacts on my phone have not been updated to my gmail account.

As of iOS 12, this no longer works. Shame on Apple for not allowing iPhone contacts to sync towards Gmail accounts.

What about "syncing"? Not exporting and importing. I want Gmail to see my newly created Iphone contacts as I create them. This is called "syncing". If I have to export and import to gmail each time I want to sync, that doesn't work. Any suggestions for "Syncing" from Iphone to Gmail without "exporting and importing"?
