I have an old VHS video about this beast from the 90s doing 228mph with the aerodynamics of a house brick. Absolute Legend of a car!
ОтветитьThis is THE car, been amazing for over 30 years 😢
ОтветитьThat's a beautiful 69
ОтветитьThere is only a few cars in history that can match BIGRED in strength and endurance.
ОтветитьBro I’m fairly new to your channel but working from older vids to newer ones, the quality of your productions. Wow dude, seriously amazing. Started good but recent vids are bitchin’ man. Love from 🇦🇺
ОтветитьLegend! Period!
ОтветитьWow! I never knew about the silver State classic! I've always been a huge fan of the Isle of Man TT. And often I said we need to race like that in the United States so we can shut down lengths of road and run races. Even if it's a TT! When RJ start talking about how his dad started that race. I paused the video and looked them up. I had no idea!! Why isn't this become more mainstream? I understand pikes peak is a pretty gnarly race, but this seems like it's probably up there with it. And after reading the website, it seems incredibly inviting to any and all types of vehicles. Will accept motorcycles it looks like. Unfortunately. Who wants to start a motorcycle version of this with me?! In the united states..?
ОтветитьThe history of this Camaro and what it means to America! This car needs to be taken to Nurburgring!
ОтветитьAlways been my favorite always will be! American ICON for sure.
ОтветитьRemember this car back in the 80s simply amazing ride. Who would guess the real car under the sheetmetal?
150 will have most white knuckling it cant imagine over 100mph faster. Insane when you think about it.
She looks and sounds amazing, and dude can drive.
ОтветитьWould love to see it run at Mt. Panorama at Bathurst ....... bring Big Red down under !!!!
ОтветитьBIG RED is the baddest 1969 Camaro in the World! This is the best episode of autotopia and you have a lot of really great vehicles on here but nothing tops BIG RED! Props to RJ for letting this happen seems like a cool dude.
ОтветитьIs there more footage available for big red?
ОтветитьThis car is freaking awesome and amazing 😂😅👍🏾
ОтветитьMoney no object and had to build a tribute car…. I’d build big red as close to the original as possible and enjoy the hell out of the car.
ОтветитьBig difference using your favorite car. It's a good feeling,,😊😊
ОтветитьNice car
ОтветитьCant get over this car
ОтветитьThat,,,,, 4 speed 😮😮
ОтветитьRJ has spent so much time in the car, his head leans forward (as if his helmet is on hitting the back of the seat) when he’s out of the car!
ОтветитьObviously whatever they do for business has some fat margins.
ОтветитьEasy to build things when you have an unlimited budget. As such not as impressive for the builds by men who have far fewer resources.
ОтветитьWhat an awesome car and experience to get to ride along in. I have watched several videos of Big Red over the years and will probably watch the next video that I see also. My father and I tinkered on many cars and trucks over the years that he owned personally or just something he bought at auction to fix up and try to make a profit but never something even close to Big Red
ОтветитьOkay that car is ill! The style is Italian kissing noise with your fingers pressed on your lips.. I like original interiors.. non race but yeah
ОтветитьOn a carburetor and don't forget it. 💪
ОтветитьMissed it was 6200 lbs at bonneville and 270mph? Holy cow
Imagine the force it takes to bend those axle tubes.
Wheres the ls boys at? lol
I've been in love with this car ever since I saw it on the cover of Hot Rod magazine in '88, I was a senior in high school. 😁
I'm glad they kept it after the fire & rebuilt it. That is awesome!! ❤
its automatic transmission
ОтветитьThe craziest part of Big Red is that there are VERY few "modern" cars that can come close to what that "old car" can do.
37 years of being a rock solid performer is nothing short of insanely amazing.
Such a great guy I hope to meet you one day
ОтветитьHello! Could you tell me the brand and models of the wheels?
ОтветитьImma gonna make this from a 1/64 scale.
ОтветитьI need to finish Mr Bardahal 67 and start this 69 Z. And my collection will be finished
ОтветитьThis video chokes me up. I was a teenager when this was on the cover of hot rod magazine in the 80’s. . I cut the pictures out of this car stuck them on my wall. I literally wanted this car and it’s set up. ❤️❤️. A piece of American history as far as I’m concerned, every young teenage boy wanted this. I’ve watched and followed them since I was young. My brother in law, SCCA. He has a 69 Z/28 RS. With a professionally built DZ 302. Now that was a running machine to. He also raced his Tiger Sunbeam. With a 289 high po. Out of a GT 350. What a dangerous car that was.
ОтветитьDammm that was awesome. Just brings me back to the 80’s.
ОтветитьAbsolutely my favorite episode. Love the big red Camaro.
ОтветитьI remember reading about the 19 year old in Hot Rod magazine driving this beast in the 80’s and just recently realizing that this car was located/based up in the High Desert. It was a real treat for me seeing that piece of history driving in my backyard/roads I drive everyday. Small world…
ОтветитьI thought that was the hi-desert area! Bitchin' car!
ОтветитьYea so what this Privileged Nebbish is trying to say is after school everyday he went to work saving his pay checks to buy a car and then because He was an Engine builder built his own engine & frame buying all the very best parts at 16 yrs old . so after buying his Dream car 69 camaro and having already had 20 yrs experience building cars & motors He and his dad went racing around the country making lots of swell pals .. Just like all the rest of the 16 yr old Boys in America....
ОтветитьWow!!! My mind is blown
ОтветитьIncredible! You're so lucky to be able to say you've taken a ride in Big Red!
ОтветитьLove the cars on this channel, but a lot of rich guys with rich guy cars on here 🤷
ОтветитьYou gotta go back for a ridealong in a track event.
ОтветитьAwesome 😎
ОтветитьAre we just gonna ignore the transformer in the background
ОтветитьThat beard hair in frame 😂
