Yea Cali is a totally different world in a different universe. I’ve mostly been to Anaheim but have been in LA a few times. CA war on plastic bags was the weirdest thing to me. There is some kind of bag tax there. Now in NJ you can’t even get a plastic bag.

Try Melbourne, Victoria, Australia for a totally different experience. Got lost the last time I visited preferring to live in a small town in the state where there's much more chance of seeing people I know.

Not hot year round. You get 3 months of mid 40's weather. An amazing break from the heat
