I would love to have an underground irigation system installed but they are so expensive, plus i hear that it's a good idea to have a separate irigation water meter installed which i found out cost $5000 to have it put in by the city. did you go with a separate water meter for your front yard sprinkler system? About how much extra has your water bill gone up using the irigation system?
ОтветитьThis is exactly what I've been looking for! Thanks!!
ОтветитьI only have a 4100sq ft lawn, was wondering what size diameter hoses are you using to connect these rainbird sprinkler heads together?
5/8" or 3/4"?
Great video! I am just now learning this. Do you know how to mark the area so you know where to put them back when you mow?
ОтветитьI was wondering about the pieces you used to connect them. I got a brass 3/4 inch male to 1/2 female similar to what you linked in your description. But then instead of using plastic like you did, I got a brass 1/2 male to 1/2 inch male and then connected it to the spike. I added a washer inside the sprinkler cause it kept leaking out of the bottom a little. Would it be better to use a plastic 1/2 inch to 1/2 male? Could you please list each piece by itself so I can see how you connected them? Thank you for a great idea and video!!
ОтветитьHello, do you have the link where I can buy risers to connect Sprinkler head and base?
ОтветитьGreat video, i’m defiantly considering installing. Can I connect the sprinkler head to micro irrigation tubing?
ОтветитьThanks Vince! I'm about to give this a try. I've been meaning to, but haven't had the time to try.
ОтветитьI'm thinking of replacing my two Orbit rotor heads in the front with two of these Rainbird 5004 heads.
Can you provide links for the pieces I would need to adapt from the bottom of head to the spike?
Is this the adapter piece I would need to connect the rainbird 5004 rotor head to
The ground spike stake??
I’m gonna give this a shot.
ОтветитьThanks this approach is a good way to work out placement before I start digging
ОтветитьI gave a like because your subscribe sound effect wasn’t an annoying bell
ОтветитьThis is great info, thank you for sharing. I’m going to give this a shot, especially after getting a 8K quote for an irrigation system.
ОтветитьDo I need both the 1/2 - 3/4" adapter and the 1/2" x 1/2" male riser with the lawn spikes? Also I know you mentioned a 25' hose between the 2 sprinkler heads but what size hose is your main one coming from the faucet? Are they both Flexzilla
ОтветитьDo you leave the hose in place when mowing lawn or remove it from the lawn?
Ответитьwhat's the minimum distance you can adjust for this sprinkler?
ОтветитьGreat video !!!! Simple and short , thank you so much
ОтветитьThanks for the video, I built mine, but I am noticing a lot of leakage at the hose and spike base connection. I used some teflon tape, but didn't work. Please help.
ОтветитьThe bige sprinkler sleds are 3/4, With 3/4 pass through
ОтветитьI'm putting the parts together as my inground system took a dump and being old and monetarily challenged this should work out I'll let you know Thanks this seems like a good option
ОтветитьWhat’s your water pressure thinking about getting this setup.
Ответитьcan barely hear anything ur saying in this video
ОтветитьCan you still berry them underground? Instead of using the spike?
ОтветитьOk, this is already a pain in the @$$😮
ОтветитьAwesome video. It looks like the parts link in your description has the quick connects listed twice. I also didn't see a link for the 1/2in female to 1/2 female that it looks like you are using. Thanks for the info! Can't wait to put mine together next week when everything comes in.
ОтветитьWhy is the volume so low?
ОтветитьOnce it's laid out then hose is in the way of mowing and making a dead line in the grass.
ОтветитьBest video I've watched so far!
ОтветитьWhat size water hose are you using? Or, what is the connection size on the spike for the hose? The reason I ask is that I'm going to be using a 3/4" hose that I'm cutting for diff. lengths. TY
ОтветитьLove the video! What is your GPM? What would the minimum GPM that the Rainbird 5000 would work?
ОтветитьExtremely helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьAwesome. Thank you!

Hi! Can you use an expandable fabric style garden hoses? Or is the rubber garden hose recommended?
ОтветитьI'm so surprised at how many other comments are on this video. Is this not common sense 🤔!
Ответитьbeen doing this for over 5 years, the problem is up here in the north I would have to disassemble everything in the fall for winter. To much work. LOL sleek and low profile LOL
Ответитьyou would have to have good water pessure to run 2 sprinklers no ??
ОтветитьI’m buying one tomorrow!
ОтветитьGreat video. How large of an area does the 2 heads cover? What's the length of the hose coming from the tap to the first head? Getting my stuff tomorrow. Thanks again.
ОтветитьI did the same above ground watering using rain-bird 42sa I dont have as big back yard as yours, but was wondering what is difference between 42sa and the 5000 head's? Excellent video information too!
ОтветитьHi sir. I just came across your video. Excellent content. Would please consider updating the process step by step for the newbies to the DIY Irrigation Crew. I am the crew 😂. Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьLawn looks good! Thanks I like the sprinkler heads I’ll prob get these
ОтветитьGood stuff man. I put one on a tripod. I didnt care for it. I think ill try this way
ОтветитьHow many gallons per min do each of these each put out?
ОтветитьGreat video!
Yea, I wished my lawn was that soft to be able to push and secure them that easily.
New construction home here, about 3 years old and TONS of rocks, concrete, and other debris buried in my clay soil.
Beautiful yard!
ОтветитьGreat video! To attach the spike to the sprinkler head, can I just use the 1/2" to 3/4" adapter by itself? Or, do I need the 1/2" (male) to 1/2" (male) riser plus the adapter?
ОтветитьGreat video - exactly the parts list I was looking for! 1 question: what are you using to attach the riser to the 1/2 to 3/4 inch adapter?
ОтветитьGreat video, great lawn, and great beard bro. You’re doing alright for yourself brother keep it up!
