My experience with escorts, is they are great for 2 years, as soon as the warranty is up, they break. I did this for 6 years. Always the same thing. Valentine one has lasted 15 years and still going strong. Fast any reliable. I have the gen 1. Don’t know about the new ones

How bout don’t speed? If you don’t speed you ain’t got to worry about it. Some Benefits of not speeding is this.
1. Save money on not having to buy this radar detector.
2. Save LIVES!! Save yours and others!!
3. Save money on lawyers.

The pros and cons definitely Leah towards not speeding.

2 questions, is the redline better then this? Would you still recommend the r8 over escort? Trying to decide between redline and uniden r8. I live in michigan so no redlight cameras but i believe we have k bands.

KA vs Segmented. What is the performance difference if any on this new unit. To be on the safe side should I use KA SW?

When will you test the Escort 360c MKII with new firmware?

Running the original Max 360, does the new hardware in the MKII make a big enough difference to upgrade?

DO NOT BUY! escort max is garbage I have one and it worked great for a month! Then sent it in for service 2 times and got it back still broke. So I asked them for a new one and they said it was tested extensively! And there is nothing wrong with it so they said send proof. So I did and they told me the car was the problem! What a joke! Never doing business with them again!

How about a comparison of this detector with the Uniden R8, since they are at the same price point.

I have learned a lot from your videos,. I do a lot of driving in Brooklyn, NYC and Queens. I gat about 2 to 5 camera tickets a month mostly school and few red light. So my main concern are these camera tickets. I'm thinking of purchasing the ESCORT Max 360c MK2. What is the best at detecting these red light/speeding camera traps? Thanks in advance Pat.

Lightning fast if you compare it to a snail! All these manufactures care about is getting them to the consumer than fix any issues later on, how about get it right the first time around? Even with the latest firmware there's still issues responding to instant-on, never mind responding to quick trigger or POP! I like the Escort Max 360c Mk II but will not recommend it until all these issues have been resolved.

Does it say where the cameras and stuff are without defender database

Does uniden have alerts sharing?

I thought most newer police radar guns use Ka band (at least they do in my area), so I don’t understand your emphasis on K band detection.

I recently switched to Uniden from Escort for a number of reasons. I have a 9500iX and a Max360. I can no longer connect the 9500iX to the latest version of the computer software, as the detector is not seen. The Max360 connects and I can update the firmware, but cannot save, load, or update my detector settings without an annual subscription, which is ridiculous. The Max360 display has also dimmed to the point of barely being visible during the day. Hearing about the latest issues with Escort, I have no interest in going back to them. Let’s see how Uniden fares.

I have a lot of problems with the application, it disconnects very often. I'm using it in a Samsung app. I want to change it to the iPhone app with the application but it does not connect with my Escort MllC. Any recommendation

I had a Redline and sent it back. If that was their best then I doubt this would be any better

The other day, I finally bit the bullet and bought the R8. I seriously considered the Escort MAX c 360MKII. I saw both of them side by side at best buy. The Escort seems better built than the Uniden, and it is a nice-looking device, but my main concern is performance. The guy at Best Buy said the R8 and the Escort MAX c 360MKII are about evenly matched, but from everything I read, the Uniden is faster and has longer range.

I do run apps like Highway radar, Waze and I tried the Escort/Cobra one on my RAD700 before I got rid of it., but I live in a rural community in northern Michigan and the apps are of limited to no use because nobody else besides me is sharing data as I am likely the only one in town using them. Even Waze has limited to no sharing of data locally. Now when I leave Podunk Ville, that's a different story. The apps actually work. But on a daily basis in my hometown, I must rely mostly on my radar detector over the apps to protect me from a ticket happy small town Sherriff dept. When I moved from the city to a small rural town, I became very interested in radar detectors when I got my first ticket from Sherriff Bueford Justice (smokey and the Bandit) in 30 years.

My environment makes me believe that with faster detection and longer range, the Uniden might be a better option for me with the instant on detection commonly used here and also with the empty rural roads near me. So I opted for the Uniden. Now I am running the R8 in one car and the R4 in the other. I gave away my RAD700 to my brother and my R3 is retired, unless I can figure out a way to mount the R3 to my motorcycle.


Although the Escort is impressive, and I almost bought it, I think the R8/R4 combo for my cars was a better option for me.

Morale of this story, you might have to pick out equipment that is ideal to your environment.

Did all these issues get resolved as of now

I’ve been on a debate rather to get the escort redline 360, the escort max 360 mkii, and the uniden r8. I have the original max 360 but get HUBDREADS of false detection. I drive from Monticello ar to littlerock ar,(about a 2hr trip) and counted it. I was averaging about 200-230 false k-band detections. I notice that in your testing that the radar guns was already reading the car right as it went off. So what are your thoughts about the 3 radars I mentioned as far as their filters, range, and just everything. I don’t wanna buy a bunch but don’t want all the k band false detections.

A story about the V1 original I have owned for decades. When new, I was driving out in the wide open desert at night. The road was long and flat and had some dips in it. My V1 alerted to one blip and one bar just for a second, something it never did in open areas. I looked ahead and could barely see lights, miles ahead. I looked at the time and was going to run the numbers before whatever was in those lights reached me. The blips got stronger over the minutes and at one point reach 5 bars and constant. Every time the lights went down into a dip when far away the blips stopped and then returned when the lights came back into view.

Eventually, 3 cars passed me going the other way. The lead car was a highway patrol of some kind. The time was 7 minutes. Doing 60mph, and then other car doing 60 mph makes that a combined 120mph. So that roughly 14 miles ahead it first blipped with one faint bar just for a second. My numbers might be off by a bit and the speeds of the other cars might be off but even 10 miles ahead would be incredible.

But after that I did calculations on other wide oped spaces detections by the V1 original. I routinely had 4-5 mile ahead detections.
So not sure what happened the first time long distance but I can tell you it saved me multiple times from cops running instant on or pulsing only cars coming by and not leaving it on. My V1 would pick them up 4 miles out blipping cars as they past and I would slow down and NOT get a ticket. Range matters!

Myn does not make any sounds or alerts anything. I have tried everything on it and yet nothing
